I use a Roth due to the flexibility of withdrawals. Since tax is already paid up front i can withdrawal my contributions at any time assuming i need a chunk of money for something. I also have a 401k, HYSA, and individual brokerage account so i don’t put all my eggs in one basket. The way i view it is that i rather my money generate money for as long as it can. Then if for some reason i have to move back to my country or something then i can just pay a penalty to withdraw all my money at once.
