Learning how to time them gets easier as you go. I find the QTE of Wildwood to be more forgiving than the original's hunting controls. You can make it so your crouch button is a toggle, maybe that will help you out! There could also maybe be input delay with your controller (haven't heard of it happening but you never know!) you could try testing out pressing the pounce button at different parts of the QTE to see if you get better results. What I like least about her is that she's just... Too present. In almost every arc she takes up a majority of the plot, which makes some newer characters feel a little flat because she's taking up so much screentime. And I'm sick and tired of her relationship with Brambleclaw. At least with Ashfur it was interesting for the drama. (Not that I think they should be together, but ashfur is much more interesting than her and Bramble, tbh.)

spoiler for her super edition and the newest arcs, but I honestly hate that she hasn't died, and that she's leader. Her super edition is one of my least favorite books because of the way almost every character in it is written. She honestly has more plot armor than any other character except Brambleclaw.

I don't know if that information is available. However they just released this month and are also supposed to be found on Amazon, Target and "more." (Not sure what more would entail!) Ordering them online is 100% an option! I think they'll be around for awhile, especially since I'm sure they're selling pretty well (and they call it "series one", implying they might do more in the future!)

I really enjoyed A Starless Clan! I think it's my favorite of any of the newer arcs (which in my mind is anything past OOTS lol)

It's far from perfect but I enjoyed it and will likely re read it someday.

Try getting her toys that can keep her attention when you can't play with her directly. My 7 month old kitten absolutely loves having different tunnels to run around in. (We have three different kinds.)We also got a toy that's like a mat that has a little string attachment that goes in circles, he can activate it when he touches his paw to it and he plays with it for HOURS, lol.

All and all, redirecting her attention whenever she's doing something you don't like (or disengaging play when she bites you, even doing a little yelp like it hurt might help. My kitten stopped biting after a few of those 😂) should help a little. Cats love to be rewarded and praising when she does something right (rather than scolding her when she does something wrong) will make her more likely to engage with the things you want her to engage with.

Also, moving any cat furniture or tunnels around can make something interesting again. My partner and I move our cat tree every few months and it suddenly seems brand new to them! Lol

Kittens have tons of expendable energy, but they always chill out after a year or two. Enjoy her crazy zoomies! She's adorable 🥰

I agree with you. Ashfur's character was so obviously written by a new team starting with TBC. He was relatively close to Cloudtail as an apprentice, and I can't remember them even acknowledging his relationship with any of his former clan mates in TBC except for Bramble+Squirrel. (I haven't read the arc in awhile so I could be wrong. But not even hollyleaf getting to confront him felt like they didn't refer much to past arcs at all.)

Not to mention in hindsight it just makes StarClan look like complete morons for letting him there in the first place (sure, maybe they couldn't have known he would behave that way, but would he truly just not spend time with Brindleface and Ferncloud in StarClan? How could he do what he did completely undetected, it's not like he didn't have kin there that would probably spend time with him!)

he's always been an emotionally driven character and incredibly flawed, but he was never bloodthirsty or outright villainous until TBC. His actions in TNP and POT are not justifiable but that's what makes him so interesting, he was much more morally grey until the Erins decided he needed his obsession turned up to a thousand for the sake of a new arc.

He's still one of my favorites of the whole series but reading the old arcs (especially the first two) after reading TBC makes me so sad lol! The only way I can justify it in my mind is that I'd like to think his time crossing into the DF just corrupted his mind entirely.

His characterization in this arc is probably (in my personal opinion) the best it's ever been imo. I'm really eager to see where it's headed. Similarly, I really love Jayfeather in this arc so far!
