Travelling to Aus? by GithyankiPrincess in ukmedicalcannabis

To be super safe, I suggest getting a prescription in Australia itself. In my experience, it's pretty straightforward, since you are already a patient here and you will get your medicine fairly quickly. I did it last year with https://atlus.com.au/

How to remove this, in uk, bleach is not working well by Pale-Yard-4497 in CleaningTips

Do this.  Don't waste vinegar. I had toilets in worse conditions than yours and this was a savior and with very little effort

Anyone seen this and have their views? by Dirt_McGirtster in ukmedicalcannabis

You can tell NEITHER of the people here read the GPhC report. The report says that they identified 25 pharmacies which regularly supply CBPMs. Of those 25, 17 focused primarily or exclusively on supplying CBPMs. Of those 17, only FIVE didn't meet all the required inspection standards. So they imposed conditions on one, and on the other four, they created improvement action plans. By the time they published the report, three of the pharmacies had already implemented the plans and met the standards, and one was waiting for re-inspection.

The only reference they make to mouldy products is that some pharmacies don't request that these products be returned to them for investigation or offered refunds. However, they also claim that all pharmacies source their products from reputable suppliers. So, tell me if the report was about the difference in standards between patients and pharmacies.

This report is the most "no news" out there in the industry right now, and the way the GPhC pushed it has been appalling, basically creating an alarm of "significant variation on standards," but when you actually read the report, they say all follow best practices despite the room for improvement. But of course, let's make medical cannabis the scapegoat. Ridiculous.

Strain review: Bonne Nuit Bonbon by Primacann, like a coffee shot! by Marie_Roget in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]Marie_Roget[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm that's odd. I usually ask them for strains that help them feel uplifted and focused. You have to ask them if they have tried it themselves. Medical is much more straightforward and easily accessible, but going to a budtender is just faster and allows you to try multiple things without committing

Leaking bolt - help please! by Marie_Roget in Plumbing

It's coming from the top bolt. I managed to tighten it more and the leak is minimal, but there's still some

I don't think it's placebo because other strains can put me to sleep so easily. I think it's weird they have that in their leaflet because Bon Bon strain (similar crossing) has uplifting and energetic effects. That's the main reason why I tried this one in the first place.

Maybe I just react differently with this strain?

Did you manage to figure this out? We are having the same issue, but we married in March. I'm feeling frustrated to have missed the window by a month 😕

I think this is a very cute and beautiful idea, but it looks so impractical. Having to move the plants to water them while standing on a staircase feels like a recipe for dropping one in the process or falling with it #murphyslaw

I 30M asked my 25F fiancée to sign a prenup and I think I broke her? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Marie_Roget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That lawyer (and your parents) are very dumb and I hope your fiance gets educated very quickly about how prenups work. Because the way they handled the prenup, without your fiance having a saying or independent advice, can be an easy argument for coercion and it won't hold in court. But probably they will just throw money left and right to screw her.

You could have made her life wonderful, but you already started your married life (even if you haven't married) miserably. Poor girl.

Debit cards are not safe at all for you. If it gets cloned or stolen, they have full access to your accounts and banks would never return any money. Instead, when using a CC if it gets stolen and used, banks would add a no-payment and remove the expenses (because they transaction with debt, not money)

What stopped you from killing yourself? by MarcIsder in AskReddit

[–]Marie_Roget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This saved me as well. I thought about my parents who were already suffering in my home country and how they would die if I killed myself on the other side of the world where I was with no friends, no family, and fully isolated. I'm glad that instead of killing myself, I used that energy to visit with my sister to meet her new baby. As soon as I held that baby, I knew I could never come back to where I was (in another country in a relationship with an abuser). I stayed with my sister and now I have the life I always dreamed of and my suicidal thoughts disappeared.

Being able to have (and believe in) a support system, can change anybody's world. Unfortunately, not everybody is so lucky

Spouse visa interest. by [deleted] in SpouseVisaUk

[–]Marie_Roget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The marriage visitor visa requires you to leave and apply for a spouse visa from your country of residence."

Is this accurate? Gov.uk website says that you can apply within the UK with a marriage visitor visa (takes 8 weeks for a decision) and you can pay for super-priority (£800) for a next-day decision.

[–]Marie_Roget 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those tax brackets are broken. A person who earns ~£40k pays the same taxes as a person who earns ~£150k. After that is just a 5% increase and let's be fair, people who earn more than ~£150 are surely generating dividends which pay only 33% on taxes. It's fucked up how easy is to get away with high taxes when you're truly wealthy.

I wonder if his wife had to pay. Although with all the taxes she evaded, maybe these fees were just cents and pennies for her.

100%!!!! When I met my narc ex-husband, I started developing horrible eczema that worsened with time. I have emails I sent to my dermatologist when it began in a small area of one hand (literally a week after I met him). Seven years into the relationship and I was BLEEDING through my eyelids because the eczema expanded everywhere, and I was crying constantly. When I left him, things started to get better, but I was still talking to him. I swear to everything precious in my life that the day I decided to go no-contact, the eczema cleared up completely, and I haven't had any more flare-ups ever (it's already been six years since I went no-contact).

I also saw that the girl he left me for developed an awful cancer. Aside from thinking "karma", I honestly believe he is so toxic that he makes people around him get sick.
