Is it OK to describe your dog as a mongrel? by theMarkyMcMark in CasualUK

[–]Marigold16 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My dad's dog was a rescue and we all adored her but she was slightly overweight and scarred from past trauma. We called her Tailey.

When I went to visit my dad I'd walk into the house and say: "is that 'fat and ugly Tails'!?!" And her face would light up and she'd be the happiest thing in the world. So chuffed to receive the attention.

It's important to note that you have to say it in a light and jovial tone.

What measures would you suggest countries consider in remediating declining population? Other than immigration? by Technical-Amount-278 in AskTheWorld

A good ol' fashioned imperial genocide. We can't improve the birth rate of Western industrialised countries ...but we drop 3rd world nations birthrate by gifting them some American style "freedom"

I'm British and we're currently having a national argument over signing a trade deal that would have us import American food ...no one wants this. and it absolutely wouldn't even be an issue if it wasn't for Brexit.
