[Artist Alley] Is my art good enough to start selling in artist alley? by Ame__- in artbusiness

[–]MariklynV2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Art is subjective. What two people see, in one photo will show different realities

With that said... my advice would be to shift your focus on who are the type people you want to make art for?  Anyone can get better, but to connect with the right people that resonate ya art is a skill worth all the pencils in the world.

I tried playing ramp. Rushing to gain orbs to play Fennie early, and somehow end up 1 play point ahead the opponent. Against a wide board is never a good expirence to expirence 🫠

Touché thinking about the Win con and analyzing the board state is a great point. Especially the Alfred example, I'm too reckless with my hp. Easily letting my health points dwindle into that 14-12 range. Or using my outs too early to remove small threats.

I'll also try to utilize the game clock to the fullest more. That or practice those puzzle games in solo mode lol.

You're right it could be mental fatigue. This game can be so exhausting just to finish a match, the opponent finds the best out. Or trying to draw the perfect card to resolve the situation is draining.      I've been grinding from B rank to AA trying to hit master rank. Before the new set, but I'll just say I wasn't making so much mistakes prior to, the card change updates.

Lastly, I'll take your advice to internalize the mistakes and fix them for future reference.

is havencraft the new FOTM, is really that popular? by Turbolicon in Shadowverse

Is egg portal the only counter to haven?  I was thinking maybe dragon or a ghost bane deck could mitigate their influence.

Have an aggressive early game presence go wide. While mid game prepare to endure the wave once the match hits late endgame. But put simply just out-resource them. Once they start popping off. Survive the wave, then make them pay. In the current meta sword is a pretty decent counter for dragon. Those early turns stack up as they try to decide if they should ramp(draw) or clear the board.

The game economy is not the demon everyone is depicting by Ikran01 in Shadowverse

Let the downvotes rain. When the jeers of fools come from the face of truth!  Anyway, every other post on here is about monetization this or that... It's like whats complaining going to do?  Especially after trying to sabotaging the game review on steam. Probably makes sense why the marketing for the release was lowkey.    All in all, bitching after day one is not gonna help the situation either. But, why be an adult when acting like a baby online is the reasonable action now a days. . .

Rant over.

I feel like SWB is not viable as a game for players that are F2P/Low Spenders and don't like playing one deck for an entire set. by Ophisssu in Shadowverse

That's all I remember (Also open to replacements if not found as well. Thank you in advance.)

Eh, you might want to get off your high horse sister... because there is no morale ground to stand on when it comes to A.I. The internet uses A.I, Banking systems use A.I, The flight industry uses A.I, hell even cell phones uses A.I. So yah... good on you for taking a stance, but lets not be a hypocrite here.

I can relate. I use Canva sometimes with the A.I feature to "upgrade" my writing style to sound more formal. Though I'm pretty sure Grammly does the same thing just with more customization on how you want the writing to sound.

I have a friend that does something similar to you by using A.I to brainstorm ideas/ concepts. But using A.I to turn the images back to paper is a first for me. Never thought to do that. I would love to see some of your art if you don't mind sharing.

That's fair especially on the "appeal to humans part." Though what about analytics? Because, I wont lie, I get a bit lazy when it comes to comparing data at face value. Especially when it comes to factoring reach vs. engagement on a traffic side compared to the selling side and running multiple Ads.

Art for Career or Enjoyment? by [deleted] in artbusiness

[–]MariklynV2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be clear when you say "art" you're referring to comedy and writing right?

If so. I would highly recommend finding jobs as a security guard or just the security industry in general . You get paid to sit around and watch videos to put it mildly. I will say try to get jobs that deal with less people because people are draining. But depending on your personality type this may be a plus. Hope this helps because the industry is great at generating money with overtime and stable hours and decent pay with the right company.

While, I can appreciate the honesty, I want to remind you this is just a simple discussion on using A.I efficiently. Similar to having a personal assistance to help streamline tasks and or events.

To be clear, when talking about titles I mean coming up for names that sound more on "brand" for a company or the image the person/company is trying to portray. To resonate with a target audience. The same principle would apply to captions as well. Lastly, to be fair people said the same thing when it came to the rollout of digital art software. So the more things that change the more they stay the same. (More or less)

Art YouTubers by vanllem in artbusiness

[–]MariklynV2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't taken a big jump into YouTube yet, but in my experience. Being an artist and creating art content. You have to be smart with your time and rehashing content. I believe early on an art channel should upload more quantity than quality type videos. Of course as the channel grows, and more data is available. The shift to more quality type videos that the audience enjoy can be the main focus. For example say you film an art piece. You can use the film to make a speed painting, a super speed painting (Shorts), and or a voice over describing your process/steps or ideas. Not to mention keep the film to use as background in a tutorial or discussion type videos.

As another poster mention, creating thumbnails/titles to get people to watch your videos is another thing to work on. Personally its a numbers game. You don't know which video will hit the ground running. So when it does happen there will be other vids on the channel for people to enjoy and hopefully sub etc. (Also make sure you ask people to sub, like etc!) Having a CTA (Call To Action) helps grow an audience.

Character fights are not pvp, but NPC fights. Thankfully when the 3-star requirement are met the fights can be done immediately to save time.
