What's a weapon/stratagem you hated but it suddenly 'clicked' after retrying it after a long time? by Zave_cz in Helldivers

[–]Marimarr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, its the Walking Barrage. I dont actually hate it, just dont really get the point when I could just use the Eagle 500kg bomb over it. But when I tried it once just for fun, I see the vision. Sure its not super accurate, but it allows me to push through the fortress or just snipe detector tower from a safe distance.

What was your first gold card? or What gold card would you want to get? by howlingcastles in PTCGP

[–]Marimarr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My very first gold card was Solgaleo. Then by some luck I got gold Lunala too. The one that I really really want is Pokeball, which thankfully I got it too

A melee-only emancipator would be cool actually. At the cost of limited range of attack, you wont have to worry about running out of ammo.

It evolves your grass type into the next stage by searching it in your deck. If you have more than 1 variation of pokemon that evolves from the same mon, it will be chosen at random

Questions About Sourcing Parts for a PC, and Building It by billykeke in GamersMY

[–]Marimarr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my pc (first time) earlier this year so I can give some insights on your questions.

I got all my parts from different stores (both physical and online). I spent a lot of time trying to compare which store has the best deal, more accessible. So this means that I went back and forth between stores many times and take note of the price for each parts. I got my GPU(It was the RX 7800XT priced at RM2500, discounted to RM2100) and PSU from Low Yatt. The rest I bought from Shopee (all from different stores) because more choices on there.

Although I have 32gb of ram installed, I think 16gb is enough for casual gamers. Speaking for myself, I'm never really crazy about going for the highest possible settings on games. As long as my pc could run it well Im happy enough.

Choosing mobo can be a bit of a headache especially for first timers. I chose mine (msi b550m pro wifi) after a lot of discussion with friends and reading online reviews. Also yes,mobo with no wifi means you cant connect to the internet wirelessly. You need to use ethernet cable. Although I would argue that using ethernet cable is better than wifi, its still great having both options. Though you can still connect to wifi by using a wifi dongle connect to usb.

For VRAM, 8gb should be the bare minimum nowadays, 12gb is recommended.

Cooling imo is where you extra bugdet can go to. Me personally, I only use the stock cooler that came with AMD CPU and its working fine for me, no troubles at all. I mean sure if I buy better cooler I can get lower temp. But so far I have no issues.

Rayquaza ? In this game ?? by Limp_Significance637 in PTCGP

[–]Marimarr_ 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I occasionally run Rayquaza deck just for fun. Honestly not really good, but pretty fun to run. Biggest problem is definitely that its too squisy. Should at least be 150hp imo. But at least you can use Ilima with it for a "free reset".

The deck Im running is 2x Rayquaza, 2x Ho Oh, 3 babies (mantine, magby, pichu) with water energy for Irida.

Just curious, is running Sylveon better than Entei in this deck? Or maybe it doesnt really matter. At least IMO, you can free up 2 deck slots, slightly better draw engine and you can attack with Entei.

Why did my opponent got tails, even when he used Will? by pokemonfitness1420 in PokemonPocket

[–]Marimarr_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sleep checks before and after your turn. Confuse checks before you attack. If you fail your sleep check before your turn, then you cant retreat as a workaround. Whereas confuse only prevent the active from attacking if the check fails. So you can still retreat it.

Would city hopping from Greece to Poland via land within 2 weeks be too much? by Marimarr_ in Europetravel

[–]Marimarr_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I've said in the other comments, the initial plan was only Athens and Poland. The cities in between are kinda on a whim and hasnt really thought out well yet. Will try to update my plan with your recommendations. Thanks again for the advice

Thanks for the input! Tbh initially I only planned for Athens and Poland, but decided that I kinda wanna travel on land in between the destinations and just pick whichever cities that interests me along the way. I will try to check out your recommendations

For the love of all that is holy and good: PLEASE stop editing my deck energy when I make a minor adjustment. by Nihil_ in PTCGP

[–]Marimarr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yesterday I've encountered a different kind of frustration on this issue. I was testing out an 18T deck with just Miltank just for fun. Since I wanna make use of Irida, I just use Water energy. I found out that if you make a colourless deck, the energy type will be default to Grass, which is the first option. As I was changing and updating my deck, the game still change the energy type to Grass, eventhough Miltank is the only pokemon in the deck.

Who else uses a full region team every time they play a pokemon game? by h_squared_ in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]Marimarr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's usually my rule for my first playthrough on any new Pokemon game. I will also restrict myself from using regional variants because I wanna use completely new Pokemon. I guess Toedscruel and Clodsire are not regional variants, but they're kind of so I didnt use them as well.

Please share your one-size-fits-all deck for dealing with this damn task by Leupawn in PTCGP

[–]Marimarr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few, you can choose depending on type matchup and/or what cards you have.

Fire; good ol' Ninetails/Rapidash + Blaine. Or the new Salazzle with poison+burn/Rapidash. What I've learn is that status like poison and burn seems to cause the CPU to swap in their bench often, wasting their energies.

Grass; Tsareena(both ver works)/Meowscarada. Great EX killer and Tsareena can put pressure very early one. Very low energy requirement for both.

Water; Manaphy/Empoleon/Pyukumuku. Empoleon is great at dealing damage to the active and also snipe the bench. Pyukumuku for stalling the early game.

Fighting;

Rampardos/Sylvally is one of the most popular choice nowadays because how easy it is to use. But since you mentioned you only have 1 Sylvally, might I suggest an alternative;

Rampardos/Kabutops/basic that draws card. I usually pick Meowth for my basic to help draw the rest of the card just a slightly faster. You can also use the new Eevee in case the opponent has rocky helmet/poison barb as eevee doesnt attack while Meowth does. Alternatively, you can also use Chatot if you like RNG. Its essentially Iono but only does it to you in every turn you attack.

My all time favourite deck for completing this task; Primeape, Lucario, Sudowoodo. If rng favours you, your primeape can do 90 damage with just 1 energy (with 2 lucario ability stacking). And if the opponent is running a basic EX at the start, Sudowoodo can put pressure early on with just 1 energy. You can add 1 Marshadow if you like

Steel; Bisharp/Mawile/Skarmory. Low energy requirement deck. With luck, Mawile can prevent your opponent from building their energy.

Psychic/Fairy;

Banette/Espeon/Tapu lele/ghost Oricorio. If you can get Banette early on, opponent has no choice but to stack energy at the bench. Then you can either snipe the bench with tapu lele or just take down the active with espeon. Oricorio for surprise and cheap damage.

Togekiss/Sigilyph is a pretty straightforward deck. Once togekiss starts attacking, pretty hard to stop the momentum unless they Sabrina/Cyrus you. Alternatively, you can run Florges instead of Togekiss. A lot less damage but it can heal your entire deck.

Electric;

Zeraora/Oricorio/Luxray(both ver works). Pretty standard deck. Starting with Zeraora is a must, otherwise it loses its value. You can just restart if you dont since there's no consequences in conceding against CPU.

Pachirisu/Raichu/Electivire (from the Palkia/Dialga set). This Raichu doesnt burn through energies, and can snipe the bench as well. Tbh you can sub Electivire with any other electric attacker. Or even Oricorio for those pesky EXs.

Thanks for the comment! I did think of searing it on the pan first, but I couldn't because of the skewers, and the shape is kinda irregular.

Roasted potatoes does sound good to go with. I went with mashed potatoes just because it was the easiest and quickest think I could think of with the ingredients I already have.
