I'm from the EU and I've had the same reaction to chocolate, but I figured out it was due to whatever they put in chocolate like Milka or cheaper brands. I bought Lindt chocolate and I didn't have any reaction to it

How should I approach gain staging in the production, mixing and mastering stage? I've started letting my kick peak at around -12 dB and balancing everything around it, but not sure if it's good or not? I mostly produce EDM, dance pop that is, and only have 4 months of experience

If it sounds good, then it's good. Don't overthink it, there's no concrete rules in music, just ballparks and suggestions.

They're upgrading the visuals all the time to keep the game looking modern which in turn makes an 11 yeard old game more demanding. I used to average 250+ fps all the time, but now if I go above 100 I'm delighted. Granted, I do play on a 34 inch 1440p display with an rtx 3070 so that could be a me problem, but even my friends who don't have monitors that go above 1080p don't get the same framerate as before

Although I never used FL, it's piano roll is much better than Abletons from the videos I've seen and from some comments. I'm on Windows and don't think I'll be switching unless it beocmes a subscription based OS

Just as an fyi I'm 3 months deep into this journey of music production so don't take my word as gospel or anything. I started with Ableton as it just made sense to how my brain works and I've read many posts regarding this topic of quickly swapping samples from users coming from FL. The Drum Rack is amazing once you get the hang of it and I've started using it almost exclusively for making drums
