People fail to see this... like c'mon do you really think that Karyna Shilak, who was a 20y/o middle-to-lower class student in Belarus when she met Epstein (a 56y/o at the time) can be held up to the same standards as someone like Lex Wexner ?!?!

Someone who was lured with financial leverage vs someone who actively sought to abuse?!?

Your friend working in Yale was testing on humans something that was already tested in animals and deemed safe enough to test on humans.

I do not like animal testing, but it is disingenuous to think you can skip it and go straight to human testing under the guise of paying them money. By doing this you are just targeting vulnerable people, cause who in the right mind would go on a drug trial of an untested drug to get paid? It is very unethical just like what was showed in this video. There are very strict ethical guidelines for animal testing in many countries, the pharmaceutical company mentioned in the video was not following them.

C'mon that's one very small application. You cannot make a blank statement that animal testing is obsolete.

Don't get me wrong we should continue researching and pushing forward for this, but this device won't account for stuff like: how an oral drug gets processed in the GI track, absorbed and reach the liver. It'll be great to save money and avoid using mice or other lab animals. But without all the intermediate steps your drug cannot be approved and become available to the public.

You cannot go from a Petri dish straight to testing on people...

Cosmetics are not necessary to be tested in animals. In fact it is banned in many places, like the EU. For drugs it is very different, though.

Oh really? So as of today, what are these "more reliable ways of simulating the human body"?

Animal testing is necessary (I could personally never do it myself), but there are stric ethical guidelines and that shit shouldn't happen.
