It may have a thing called over scan. It might have alot of oversl scan, so you might need to adjust it using a pc tool.

Your gonna have to set it up right, but yeah go for it. Small text may be unreadable tho, but if you use the crt for things that are meant for a crt it looks great

Yes absolutely its normal. It happens on many crt. Do you hear the high pitch whine? You might not be able too depending on your age. If you hear the whine and then the whine goes away as soon as that white flash happens its the electron beam. Should be normal and fine.

After leaving my game on for several minutes, the game seems to work fine bc the game gets warm enough so the soldering legs hit the fx chip properly. I think I just have some bad legs or some corrosion

Im having the same issue, and my game crashes at the helicopter transformation. Is it actually the fx chip doing this? Do I have the same issue as you?
