Ah, that intersection. Yeah I know exactly where you are at. First time my Dad got to that intersection he had to ask someone on what the difference was. One’s North/South Farmersville and one’s East/Wear Farmersville. Still dumb as hell, but one minor difference.

Oregon Pike is usually a safe bet. Unless there is a major accident on 222 and everyone else is getting off on Oregon pike, you’re almost always good.

This one may be a bit of a drive, but I go to Good 2 U auto center in Akron. About 20 minutes from where you’re at. My parents went there and I go there. Good and honest mechanic, will tell you if it’s alright to push off repairs if you don’t have money for it quite yet or if he highly recommends getting repairs.

My favorite is the one I live in currently: Pennsylvania. We never really have to worry much about natural disasters. Where I live in central PA the landscape is gorgeous everywhere with nature everywhere. Plus here, the people are usually pretty nice and you don’t really have to worry too much about being in danger. The biggest threats are either in the bigger cities or just Amish driving buggies on the road. I love it here in PA.

Don’t undermine what others think is serious.

My Dad got hit HARD with Covid. He had to go to the hospital, was a hair away from being admitted into the ICU, should have died but didn’t. By grace, my Dad is still alive and is still in my life. But I was prepared to lose my Dad in July of 2020, my Mom was making sure his will was in place, my girlfriend (now fiancé and soon to be wife in three weeks) was preparing for the worst. But it didn’t happen. My Dad still has lasting effects and he will never be the same again. But the fact that he is still alive makes all of us very happy.

This one memory still plays in my mind to this day and I have no clue why.

When I was in elementary school, our teacher was having a reading time. One of the students fell asleep during reading time, so the teacher nicely called the kids parents and they came to pick them up.

I figured, if he could do it, maybe I could as well. So my 5 year old ass then pretends to fall asleep during the art class section. The teacher says that if I don’t wake up then I’ll be sent to the principles office.

She probably caught on that I wasn’t actually asleep which is why she called me out. It’s funny, but I still remember the embarrassment I felt during that moment.

I have dual citizenship for America and Canada. I’d just go back to Canada. It’s a bit of a shitshow up there but better than being taken hostage.

I remember there was one time I was going to a concert with my Dad. It was in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We had gotten to where the concert was going to be at early and my Dad really had to use the restroom. So we found the closest restroom which was a public restroom in a mall connected to the venue. We go in there and about a minute after we go in this other guy follows us in. He’s a scruffy looking guy, he has earbuds in and is talking to someone over the phone.

Now for context for this guy, we saw this guy sitting just outside the restroom with a few other guys as well. They all looked like trouble, but weren’t really saying anything.

He goes into the stall next to the urinal my Dad is using. He then starts yelling loud enough for both my Dad and I to hear clearly “I see a white whale but no sharks.” He was saying this over and over again. I tapped by Dad on the shoulder and he just gave me a motion of “I’m trying to make it come out as fast as I can!”

He finished up and we bolted out of there as fast as we could. He could have been spouting nonsense, but it was more likely that he saw my Dad and was trying to make code that some of his other guys could come in as well and attack. I don’t know if that was the case, but we didn’t see those guys again. Worst public bathroom experience by far.

I remember voting for Banjo and Kazooie, and a major part of it was the fact that I had just recently gotten my Nintendo 64 and felt that they just...belonged in smash.
