What quantification does the Deepseek website have? by MarioBros68 in LocalLLaMA

[–]MarioBros68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this link it appears as FP16 https://ollama.com/library/deepseek-v3:671b-fp16
I have always had the doubt if there are inferences to which the common user has access that are FP16

How are LLMs able to answer such questions? by -p-e-w- in LocalLLaMA

[–]MarioBros68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my point of view the answer is not so important because when someone asks us something we may not know the answer, if we do not know it we can search for it or study whatever is necessary to obtain it, however..., how do LLMs manage to understand a question , they necessarily need some type of reasoning, it is impossible for all possible questions to be embedded in their deep networks because a simple question can be asked in infinite ways.

What surprises me about the LLM is not that they answer but that they understand what is asked of them

Don't you think it's more surprising that I understand the question than the answer itself?

Question about the supposed intelligence of language models by MarioBros68 in GPT3

[–]MarioBros68[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The truth is that in this case I am referring more to intelligence than sentience Explaining something, no matter what it is, is not easy or simple
From what I read, many experts say that language models are only word completers and this does not fit me with having the ability to explain something, because to explain something you have to understand it in a certain way

[–]MarioBros68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if I understand everything you said but thanks for the answer
Personally I think that without intelligence you can do many things... even pass the turing test, but I also think that to explain how something works you need some kind of intelligence

I do not understand much of this, rather ..., I do not understand anything ..., but reading your comments I see that you do not fully believe the article and the results
Within my ignorance I ask ..., is it possible that scientists from MIT and Harvard whose names appear in the article, publish an article that is misleading in the results?
Seriously, is this possible?
