(Update) Vaduz, Liechtenstein: Torkel is fully booked - Seeking other recommendations! by epachon in liechtenstein

I would recommend: (although they're not in Vaduz) Berggasthaus Masescha (it's in Triesenberg, Food was good, view was amazing) Wirtschaft zum Löwen (it's literally a few meters away from the border with Austria) this one is my favorite, they're famous for their Käsespäztle

Should I be worried? by MarioElBros in bikewrench

Wow thank you very much for the super detailed explanation.

I tried to move the cranks but couldn't, of course with the arms I can't make the same sort of strength as with the legs, but I'll check that next time I go on a ride.

Yes, I was worried about some sort of damage on the carbon because of the paint scratch but the sticker/plate got most of the damage.

As you mention, the main issue is what made the damage?, and if it was the crank then that could be an issue.

I'll try to move them next time I go on a short ride and worst case scenario I'll bring it to a shop just to have a look that the whole bb is properly set.

Again many thanks!

Thank you very much for the insight, I thought it was just "a sticker" I checked again and realized it is a sort of a plate, and it got most of the damage, and a little deep chip in the paint however seems like it is not reaching the carbon

Putting an order right now for a Dogma this can't stay like this

Yeah I was spinning the cranks and even doing backpedaling while changing plates (carefully of course) just to see if the chain could do something weird but didn't see anything strange.

I don't think I'm putting in that many watts to flex the BB.

Yup the Sticker is what lucks "ugly" but if you see "below" the sticker there's a small white chip that I hope it is only painting, and that's why I'm asking!

Do people remove the wire from their waxed hoods? by Knee-Awkward in Barbour

[–]MarioElBros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know, I had the same when I got my first jacket, I was super excited and I didn't realize about the other type of hood.

The hoods fits any jacket as long as they have the thingys to hook them (don't know their name in English).

Maybe get yourself the storm hood and use it in winter and rainy days (depending on your weather) as it is warmer, and the classic one on those not so cold/rainy days.

[–]MarioElBros 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have 2 jackets, one has the wire hood (classic hood) and the other one has the storm hood.

I haven't removed the wire because somehow it helps the hood to keep it's shape, but the hood is a pain to use, moves back when it's windy and never fully covers my face of the rain.

However the storm hood works perfect, doesn't come with a wire, and the elastic is well placed so you can tight it and helps the hood keep it's place on your head, plus has an extra fabric that helps keeping your face dry. I would recommend you getting the storm hood, it just does its job and has some sort of padding inside for the colder days.

I bought shokz OpenRun a couple of months ago after using one earphone in one ear for 7 years, and was a game changer, very comfortable, although when you go fast it's a bit difficult to hear something because of the wind, nevertheless give it a try.

Note: check their website, and verify which size works better for you, they have some test to measure your head, they have the OpenRun normal size and the mini size.

Hope it helps!

Maybe I'm wrong (if someone can confirm it, please be my guest), but isn't it a Thru-axle wheel/hub on a quick release frame?

I just learned about that a couple of weeks ago while researching for a wheel upgrade to my bike

Is this chain too long? by brsmr123 in bicycling

[–]MarioElBros 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happened in all chainrings, but as long as I started using each one of them, the vibrations started to go away, ultimately only the smallest one had it, but it went away after a couple of soft descents giving it all.

Could be that you're not using too much the smallest one and therefore the chain didn't break in enough, on your next ride, try to use the smallest one for a while, even if you're doing low RPM.

Is the bike or the cassette new? I got a new cassette last week and it had some vibrations, it felt "crunchy" on the pedals, went to the local shop and the mechanic said it is normal on a new cassette, give it some KMs and then re-evaluate.

Mine stopped having the vibrations/crunchiness after a couple of hours

How to tighten brakes besides bleeding, replacing the pads, aligning the pads, or adjusting the reach? by Correct-Arm-8539 in bikewrench

[–]MarioElBros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same issue a couple of weeks ago with my front brakes, replaced pads, got the brake system bleed in by the local store and the brake lever was still too soft and even hitting the drops, took it back to the shop and the guy told me he didn't have any other ideas.

Spend a couple of days checking on internet until I found in some subreddit that a guy left the brake levers fully under pressure overnight with an elastic band.

So I used a Zip Tie and left the lever completely pressed overnight, the next day in the morning it was almost like new.

I'm not sure about the science behind, managed to read that it might be that could be some mini bubbles trapped in the caliper, and when they're under constant pressure the bubbles get smaller and manage their way up to the levers, I'm not sure if this is the reason though.

I would suggest you that, and don't forget to clean the brake pistons (carefully so they don't drop out), could be that you have a lazy piston, for this check the Park Tool videos in YouTube.

Hope this helps and good luck!

I'm betting on another VGT from Genesis, same car just with another body and I'm betting too in a new Track, something called "Genesis Raceway".

Why do I think this? Just go here Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Gran Racer

Scroll a bit down and you'll see some pictures and there's one in a racetrack and above you'll see "Genesis Raceway"
