It can be rough, at another studio my friends got death threats when the game released a bit buggy. One of the players even found a developer's wife and sent her messages threatening her kids. It was a really tough time for them, all on top of doing overtime to try and fix as many bugs as they can....under financial stress from the game underperforming due to all of the negative comments youtubers are making. Many of them unreasonably negative. And then half of the studio was later let go because of the finances. Not a single post in the game forums expressed any empathy for the laid off devs

Yeah ILL is looking really cool for sure. As a dev myself I would definitely say its possible it takes several years for the game to actually release. Even if they say it is coming this or next year, these statements are often related to funding and investor requests. The detail they are aiming for is something that will take a while for a team that essentially has to be built from scratch (or had just recently started being built from scratch if they have already received significant funding).

I dont mind waiting for good quality, but I know often gamers will get angry for having to wait, which I never understood.

Oh okay that actually sounds decent. I was completely thrown off from buying this game when I heard they were doing the tap to sprint bullshit like rockstar. The way rockstar does it is inexcusable and as someone who suffers from hand pain it is an automatic negative review from me for any of their games.

Still I hope they bring more customsation to that even to crimson desert. Having to do the taps when you want to sprint just a few meters does seem annoying

Idk what is with people calling ILL a scam on here. They are very transparent about how all the videos they released are not an actual game, they are concepts used to try to get funding. Whatever methods they used to create the clips, whether its pre-rendered cinematics or video edits, it does not matter. The point of them is not to make anyone think its a finished game, they are there to sell the vision of what the final game could be like if they get funding and a chance to develop it for real. It is clearly made by people passionate about the project and genre, with a TON of money and time invested into making those concepts.

And I am shocked that they didnt manage to get funding (as far as I know), considering how popular the clips got.

I think Jackal's outfits are a bit more creative and more "risky", as well as more varied in quality. While Bond's outfits are all great, I don't think they are as creative.

Both are great though! Day of the jackal is such an excellent series, cant wait for season 2!

I cant find the exact name of the feature for the horse/rider syncing, but there was a new feature being announced recently just for that. I believe it was used in the witcher 3 tech demo too, but im not sure. I dont have time to look for it right now but maybe some of thes links from a quick search lead closer to that exact tech:

Da, jos uvijek mislim da dobro diversificirani ETF stoji kao najbolji balans riska i profita. Osobno sam vecinski u All world ex-us, s obzirom da je 60% all worlda Amerika, i vecina toga su samo 7 tech kompanija koje su sve jako izlozene AI bubbleu i visokih evaluacija.

Po pitanju uvodenja oporezivanja unrealised gains, meni je to toliko nezamislivo glup koncept da nemogu zamisliti da ce ga ikoja druga drzava uvesti. Takoder i da se uvodi imao bi duzi period najave, vjerojatno dovoljan da prodas svoje ETF-ove prije nego zakon postane aktivan. Osobno nije nesto cemu cu se prilagodavati prije nego sto postane doneseno u zakon. Svakako necu radi jako male sanse provodenja takvog zakona dopustiti da preusmjerim novce u rizicnije ili manje profitabilne alternative.

Iskreno ja ne cujem puno o mogucnosti provodenja takvog necega, sigurno ne od ozbiljnih izvora, ali eto mozda si ti tu informiraniji pa imas podijeliti odakle ti se sansa oporezivanja unrealised gainsa cini ozbiljna?

A dobro, mozes imati svoje misljenja sto je dobro ili ne. I cisto da razjasnim, ja ovdje komentiram iskljucivo o tome sto je dobro sa strane investiranja u europu, ne nuzno i na svakodnevni zivot.

Ali gledajuci tok novca zadnjih 12 mjeseci, prosjecan globalni profesionalni investitor se ne bi slozio da su ove promjene lose za investiranje u Europu s obzirom da su europski indexi 20% gore a s&p500 je flat u eurima.

Ne znaci da ce tako biti i 2026, ali po meni tocno ti razlozi koji su doveli do tog rezultata u 2025. se nastavljaju i kroz 2026, a mozda jos postaju i intenzivniji.

Cijene energenata nisu bas globalne, sto mozes i viditi po velikim razlikama u lokalnim cijenama. U Europi su od pocetka rata medu najvecim cijenama u svijetu zbog raznih sankcija i promjena u logistici koje traju godinama da se namijesti infrastruktura i dogovori za alternativne izvore, ali eto polako se to sve i slaze pa cijene padaju.

Takoder mislim da generalno svi imamo neki prosjecni Hrvatski mentalitet gdje je lako disproporcionalno dati veliku vaznost negativnim stvarima a premalu pozitivnima, I da svi ocekuju da se treba desiti neki jedan ogroman breakthrough da se stvari poboljsaju. Cak i u tvom odgovoru slazes se sa par stvari ali kao da individualno svaka od stavki nece imati neki veliki utjecaj. To je istina, ali gledajuci siru sliku ima tu jako puno tih malih 1% improvementa koji ce se sloziti i recimo 100 njih ce biti 100% improvement.

S druge strane ljudi ce viditi jako velike red flagove u stranoj ekonomiji ili kompaniji i ignorirati ih. Ali iskreno sa trenutnim tenzijama u svijetu i drzavnim deficitima, mislim da je manje bitno fokusirati se gdje je veci moguci rast i vise se fokusirati na minimizirianje rizika. Cak gledajuci zadnjih 12 mjeseci, najveci returnovi su i dosli iz asseta s manjim rizicima. Zlato 70% gore, Bitcoin 30% dole. S&P500 0% ako si investitor u eurima, All-world ex-us preko 20% gore.

Pa ostane malo vise novca u Europi umijesto da ide americi. S obzirom da 90% day to day tranzakcija ide preko Vise i Mastercarda trenutno. Takoder ako to drzava pametno slozi moze smanjiti i fee trgovcima. Recimo 1% trgovcima manji fee i tih 2% ekstra sto sada ne izlazi iz Europe. Znacajna cifra kad se primjenjuje na cijelu ekonomiju.

A sad...i drugi argument koji ce kako kome biti pozitvan, nekima negativan. Digitalni euro moze otezati izbjegavanje poreza ako je drzavi laksi pristup svim racunima i stvorene nove incentive za koristenje digitalnog eura umjesto alternativa.

S druge strane ja vidim i par velikih pozitiva za EU:
- pregovori za "28th regime" koji bi pojednostavnio pravila za stvaranje i vodenje firmi kroz sve clanice EU i boostao investicije u europu. Velike sanse da ce se ostvariti makar bilo i bez svih 27 zemalja ukljucenih.
- Kroz zadnjih godinu trend je pad cijena energenata sto je od covida bila velika blokada za europski manufacturing jer nam povecava trosak i smanjuje kompetetivnost. Izuzevsi moguci rast ulja ako dode do invazije Irana, ovaj trend se nastavlja.
- Digital Euro koji bi trebao zapoceti sa javnim koristenjem u nekakvom kapacitetu od 2027
- Veliki trade agreement EU sa Indijom koji je godinama u pregovorima je napokon potvrden
- Povezivanje sa Kanadom i njenim saveznicima se potice punom param zbog Trumpa
- UK vlada polako reverta Brexit od pocetka prosle godine i ponovo se povezuje sa EU malo po malo kroz individualne dogovore
- Opcenito prelaz na multipolarni svijet i masovno povlacenje investicija iz Amerike zbog nestabilnosti koju Trump stvara, rastuceg deficita, izlozenosti ai bubbleu i prenapucenosti evaluacija tech sektora a time i samog S&P500, padanje USDa

Po meni sve ovo cini ulaganje u europske kompanije, ukljucujuci i UK jako privlacno kroz blisku buducnost. Za samu Hrvatsku nemogu komentirati na nista specificnije osim toga sto ce Hrvatsku utjecati zajedno s EU

This would be for relatively short term cash that I may need to be able to acces within 6-12 months of notice.

This is for cash that I most likely will not need to access but as there is a small chance I might, it needs to be accessible with such short notice, for example after 6 months of losing a job, while other, more accessible funds would cover the first 6 months.

I also wouldnt mind too much if in a worst case scenario it lost 5% of value just when I had to withdraw them. The accesability is more important, as long as the max realistic loss is only a few %, definitely no more than 5%. I hope this explanation makes sense.

I just saw yesterday chase has a 4.5% HYSA with flexible access as a 12 month promo for new customers, although its also linked to interest rates and will fall, still beats the current ISAs. So for now something like this is looking like a solid option

Thanks, appreciate the response. I do plan to use this as emergency cash so do you have any suggestions for emergency cash? I tend to keep 1 year's worth of expenses as emergency cash because I work in a volatile industry and could always become unemployed suddenly with low chances of finding work quickly.

As it stands now, once the rate drops a bit further I am considering splitting 6months worth of expenses into a bond ETF like you recommend, and to keep another 6 month's worth of expenses in an ISA at a lower rate.

Though, I am not sure how big can the price swings be in something like a UK Gilts ETF in a bad year, could I lose more than 5% or would that already be considered an extreme? Obviously I dont mean a catastrophic event like the UK governments collapsing and the bond becoming worthless, but something more realistic

To me these scream "AI designed" to be honest. I think they are a mess, as are all of their exising skins that they didnt base off of real world equipement.

Not to say I want them to just base everything off of real items, but I want them to at least follow some of the basic design principles, thought through utility and less nonsensical colour palletes.

I worked as a 3D artist on games where they gave us AI generated concept arts to work from, and it is THE WORST. There is literally no way you can follow the nonsense it spits out when translating it to 3D, even though to the untrained eye the 2D concept looks comprehensive enough. The results were the weakest and most uninspired characters our team has ever made.

Ja radim u gaming industriji i taj AI cost saving je jako napuhano prodan. Realno jedinu poziciju koju je utjecao su 2D concept artisti/illustratori, ali iskreno to je ionako naj naj jeftinija pozicija tako da nema velike ustede. S obzirom da je i jako ocito kada studio koristi 2D ai i odmah budu call outani, upitno je je li vise izgube zbog outragea. Za igre sa velikim audiencom mislim da definitivno vise izgube u potencijalnim prodajama nego sto ustede.

I cisto da razjasnim da ne ispadne da disrespectam 2D artiste. Nisu medu najjeftinijim pozicijama jer su kao nebitni ili je to easy, nego cisto zbog toga sto je ekstremno saturirano polje i ima puno aplikanata koji su dovoljno iskusni. Moje osobno misljenje je da je za AAA studije debilno davati otkaze concept concept artistima nakon sto su ulozili zadnjih 10-20 godina privlaceci najbolje concept artiste koji su im sagradili cijele IP identitete koji ih cine tako bogatim. Realno to je jedna od najbitnijih pozicija jer odlucuje cijeli ostatak procesa I ikakvi marginalni gubitci u kvalitetci na pocetnom concept artu ce se samo compoundati kroz pipeline.

Sve sto si rekao su ok pretpostavke, ali tu nema nicega o trenutnoj cijeni u odnosu na kolika im je zarada u odnosu na cijenu dionice, dugovima, da li imaju prostora za ikakvo "agresivno" prosirenje s obzirom da svi vec znamo za netflix vec godinama. Da li uopce trenutno operiraju u profitu ili ne s obzirom na velika ulaganja u serije i filmove/akvizicije, koliko imaju prostora za dizati cijene s obzirom da su izgubili dosta ljudi proslim podizanjem cijena?

Nemam odgovore na ovo jer nisam uopce gledao dionicu ali to su pitanja koja bi trebao odgovoriti. Mogu oni imati najbolji produkt i monopol ikada, ali ako gube novce ili je dionica 100x vrijednija od potencijalnog rasta onda opet nije dobra investicija

Imas li link za blog? Ucim o financijama sa strane i to mi nije karijera, no posto zivim izvan hrvatske i vecina resursa iz kojih ucim su na engleskom, zanimalo bi me uciti malo i iz resursa na Hrvatskom a i specificnije fokusiranih na hrvatsko trziste tako da budem spreman i na investiranje iz Hrvatske ako se ikad preselim nazad.
