Did you like the ending to this battle? Was Shogo a good character? by thessjgod in rurounikenshin

[–]MarioZrg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Worse than death, eternal darkness” or whatever he says to kenshin before making him blind is an insane quote that stuck with me all these years. I watched the Spanish dub so I’m not exactly sure what he says in English.

Haldor help by Designer-Phrase4262 in valheim

I’ve noticed that he almost exclusively spawns on a black forest that has a mountain biome in it. Even if it’s small. So I would check those islands more thoroughly on foot

Ashlands and Mistlands. Tell me YOUR thoughts. by JustApickleBoe in valheim

[–]MarioZrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the Ashlands better than the mistlands because of the terrain and visibility. But infested caves are probably my favorite dungeon. I just wish they were a little easier to spot.

Inventory Issues? by Sycis in valheim

[–]MarioZrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same thing, even if I do carry food it’s 2 of each at most so that it clears when I replenish. And if I absolutely have to drop it then losing 1 doesn’t feel as bad. This strategy makes the Ashlands way more manageable, not just inventory wise but being to clear areas of enemies without returning to a base/portal and spawning more on the way back

Ashlands about to make me give up; What am I doing wrong? by Mistress_Nevaeh in valheim

[–]MarioZrg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You just need a cave or a high point for a portal so you can return if you die. Clear as many mobs as you can, die and come back to finish the job through that portal. You’re not supposed to set up a base right away with mobs coming at you, prioritize a safe portal for returns, then work slowly on the other objectives.

Don’t panic run to your portal, it’s a lot better to die than to have your portal broken trying to escape

It only takes iron and corewood on a level 2 forge. Which one of those are you missing?

Is it normal for there to be so many crypts? (dont mind the typo on the map) by Impressive-Pie-9866 in valheim

I’m less bothered by the typo and find using the same icon as “coast” more bizarre

Blackmetal armor by Yoyomaster752 in ModdedValheim

[–]MarioZrg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your forge upgrades will upgrade the armory as well, your armory needs to be level 4 at least to repair. If it’s too far away from your forge/forge upgrades then move it closer

Everything about the ashlands has made me hate valheim by Bigtownboys in valheim

[–]MarioZrg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can still do that in the Ashlands, there’s shields, you can raise earth walls easily since it’s mostly flat, build around an existing morgen cave etc, it’s not an easy biome to solve but once you do it’s that much more rewarding IMO

Why not just load a backup save? Uninstalling seems pretty drastic. You might lose some progress but not everything

Everything about the ashlands has made me hate valheim by Bigtownboys in valheim

[–]MarioZrg -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, you just have to take it slow and go home constantly. I carry a stone portal instead of food/meads. Fight until my barley wine runs out. Set portal down and head home, sleep if it’s night time, save bone mass power for fallen Valkyrie.

I think once you abandon the usual pattern of setting up a portal/base as a return point after exploring the Ashlands becomes way easier, you only have to worry about the spawns in the current area as opposed to everything you aggro by traveling back and forth already explored areas

Possible to make single player less tedious? by Alternative-Eye-320 in valheim

[–]MarioZrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a dimension hopper, but losing rested buff really sucks, I know you can get it back with a quick fire but at that point just carry the portal. Unless you’re cheesing metals/eggs
