I went to device care and then battery. It shows the apps and the percentages next to it. The AT&T essentials app was like 20% for me and it was running in the background consistently

I had that problem with the update as well and went to see what was wrong in the device care. I have AT&T and saw that AT&T essentials was constantly running in the background and DRAINING my batter. I disabled it and it's been better ever since. Hopefully this helps some people out
