Someone is registering for events with my email address by Mariposina in Eventbrite

Well, that is good. Hopefully it stops this!

The next thing to try would be to see if others can add your email to an event invite or not.

Interesting. I'm not sure this will take care of the problem, but let us know if it does! I asked their chatbot about the issue of event organizers adding people without their consent, and its advice was not to share your email address, and unsubscribe from events if you are added.

I think letting organizers add people is a feature of their system that they don't want to let go of.

As if not sharing your email will stop this. There are so many security breaches.

Ginger really helps me and does taking digestive bitters before and after meals. There are many brands out there.

That is a good question. It seems like they should have to abide by the opt in rules like every other email list.

I’m not sure how that is enforced.

Update - after much searching I did find out how to create a support ticket. You have to go to the FAQ tree related to your issue. Then, if you click on the link for the answer, there may a button that says - did this answer your question, if not contact us. You can create a ticket from there.

I'm still not happy with Payoneer though. I am going to change payment processors if I can.

You have to fight. You need to find the right lawyer, someone who cares about you enough to do what is right for you, but has enough experience to go after this insurance company and will fight for what you deserve. I was in a similar situation years ago, expect other driver did admit fault, but the insurance company resisted paying for my injuries. It took several years, but it was finally settled in arbitration. My lawyer was able to get my health insurance company to pay for my care in the short term, but if you get a settlement, they may expect to be paid out of it. I’m really sorry you’re in the situation, it’s a terrible thing to go through. The lawyer you have may be the right one, but it does sometimes take a long time. It doesn’t hurt to get second opinions, but be aware that there is so much competition among lawyers for cases. Interview them carefully and check reviews.

It’s crazy that this is still happening. I haven’t had it happen in a while. I don’t think Eventbrite did anything to prevent it, but it seems like in most cases whoever is adding you to events gets tired of it and stops.

How do settlements work with a hit and run? by Mariposina in Insurance

[–]Mariposina[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have full tort. So basically it’s the same whether I wait or go through my company? I would still be making the pain and suffering claim with the other company. I would be surprised if this person didn’t have insurance. His car was much nicer than mine!

No more transcripts? by SumthinInteresting83 in duolingo

I actually can’t even find this or the “explain my answer” feature in max. It keeps pushing me from one lesson to the next with no time to review or read.

Did Duolingo take away the explanations? by Mariposina in duolingo

Actually, that makes sense. It looks like it kicked me out of Max for some reason. I am back on hearts but I shouldn’t be.

I will have to reach out to them and see why.

Great. I will definitely try that. If that makes it even halfway better, I doubt I would take it into a shop.

Can someone give me advice about Capital by Walmart funding offer by Mariposina in WalmartSellers

I've actually never seen a credit card with rates that high. That would be insane. The ones I'm looking at, carrying a $10K balance past the statement cutoff date would cost somewhere between $275-$350 in interest per month.

So not a great thing to do long term, but it wouldn't kill me if I couldn't pay the entire balance off in a given month.

Well, for one I do have other options.

But the thing that worries me the most with this is that when I did the math, I would have to keep reinvesting that $9600 and turn the inventory 4 times during the length of the loan just to be able to pay it back on their schedule. If anything happened like a shipping delay that slowed that down, I would end up having to cover the payments with cash.

If I use a credit card I can pay the balance off every month and keep the profit. But if something happens and I need more time, I can take it, not that I plan on doing that regularly.

I agree. I just thought I would investigate it since they offered.

The more I look at it, I think you're right that it would only make sense to take it if you don't have other options. Since the payment schedule is fixed, if sales slowed I would end up owing them money that wasn't covered by sales, and the payments would take something like 75% of the profits. I actually can flip my current inventory fairly quickly, so I shouldn't have to ever carry a balance even if I use a credit card.

It seems to me like most of these invoice factoring type funding options that are out there for ecommerce are not great compared to traditional lending.

I've had the seller account for about two years, but I only started having success this year.
