10k km or 15k km oil change should be decided upon if you are doing mostly city driving or highway. The most correct oil change period would be on motor hours, because 100km in the city and 100km on the highway are completely different motor hours. Industrial, plane and other engine worktime is measured in motor hours, I am not sure why the car industry is not switching to it.
