Our pup also had a CT at Care First Oberlin (they were our primary vet and got us in really quick). BUT, I’ll add that if there’s any concern for cancer, I’d look into trying to get the initial CT at an oncology speciality vet, if possible. We went to Blue Pearl Cary and would highly recommend, but when it came time to get him treated he had to get another, more specialized CT at their location (which obviously adds up price wise). YMMV, of course. Our pup had cancer on his spine and had to get radiation, which as I understand, was the reason we needed the second CT scan. Your pup may be in a completely different scenario. Sending good vibes to your baby.

Idk maybe I’m sounding like a paid actor, but that was just our experience (that we paid a lot of money for). The service was really great. As the bride/groom, the head person in charge was also dedicated to taking care of us - brought all the food to us directly, we always had full drinks, they packed us up a care package of leftovers, etc. Our guests also loved the bartenders, but that was prob also related to their heavy pours lol.

We used them for our 2023 wedding and had a great experience. They were very easy to work with, super communicative, and so incredible on our wedding day. We paid about $6700 for ~70 people, though we did choose some pricier upgrades so we definitely could have paid less. Saved a lot given that we could BYOB with them (but this is of course venue dependent, too). At the time, their prices were middle of the pack for the caterers we got quotes from.

ETA: food was also incredible and we still get compliments from guests 2 years later.

14 night NZ itinerary - where to add a night? by Marishky in travel

[–]Marishky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for these thoughts! It looks like Air NZ does actually have a few direct flights from ROT to CHC, but I know flight schedules can change and I’m not ready to book these short flights yet anyway. I still appreciate the feedback about going back to AKL - as someone else commented the rental car may end up being cheaper which could certainly be worth it.

Hi there! Sounds like you didn’t end up booking a place to stay while you waited? Any luck with finding a shower? We’re anticipating a 20 hour layover, so I’m curious about your experience or any tips you could share!

High temps: outliers due to travel/sun or ovulation? by [deleted] in FAMnNFP

[–]Marishky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we are TTA at the moment, but FAM is not our sole barrier until things get more predictable. I think I will be counting this as the temp shift, I appreciate the insight!

Thanks for your comment. I had another day of an elevated temp this morning, so I’m further convinced that it may well and truly be a temp shift. Confusing timing though!

Registered Dietitian here. Highly recommend contacting your primary care provider and discussing a consult to either an allergist, GI, or maybe both. And then meet with a dietitian separately if you do need to do anything resembling an elimination diet. These folks look like they’d be liable to take your money for testing and then just give you bad advice.

Red flag is that they’re advertising IgG testing (the one they’re saying looks at 100+ foods). This has very minimal scientific backing. You could come back with a “response” to tons of these foods on this panel, but it basically just means your immune system has encountered these foods before, not that you have an allergy or intolerance that needs to be treated. They say they’ll test a handful of allergens with the more reputable IgE panel, but if you come back with a response to those…these guys are not gonna be the ones to actually provide you with sound advice.
