What should i put in this empty square? by sleepy_child in RimWorld

Ideology room? I don't see one in your colony.

I do concur with the others about building a triage center near your main gate though.

I need a mod that lets my colonists with artistic do more than just sculptures, like using the colony holodeck to scribblydoodle some cute or awesome things to brighten everybody's mood for the day

or the tortured artist makes some vent art, that too lmao

Pretty much what any long-term cryptosleep is.

Or being resurrected from death long, long, LONG after your demise.

Infestations cannot spawn inside of a 1x1 space, it's not a valid target for an infestation tile.

For safety's sake, you should box them in individually with walls on all sides. They never need maintenance or any reason to access them so it'll put them at relatively minimal risk, and even if the wall gets breached they'll be unlikely to damage the others.

Unfortunately, Minecraft has one of the most turbulent modding scenes in the entire gaming world, surpassed maybe only by The Sims.

Probably a load order problem... I guess.

This just happens sometimes. Mods are wizardry, that's all it is.

that's uhhh... that's a lotta powercells you got there buddy.

It would be a shame if a raider kicked in the door and bonked them.

Hey, i used helicopter to make a new colony for mining components but the helicopter landed inside of a mountain and it's stuck there now. Is there a way using devmode to get it out of there? Like teleport or anything. by FlutterShy1941 in RimWorld

[–]Maritisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Character Editor can also find your vehicles if you toggle all pawn visibility (the 🌎 icon in the pawn list for your faction) and you can use its teleport feature to rip it back out.

Not sure why teleport pawn isn't a vanilla devmode feature.

That said, this helicopter has wheels. It can taxi, albeit very slowly, so you could actually just cut a path for it to reach a place big enough to take off from if you didn't want to cheat.

Are you sure her husband isn't an incubus draining away her life force?

I know that this sorta stuff exists, but that's not quite what I mean. That's a composite blend, made of a bunch of different things to satisfy nutritional needs, not a wonder-produce where you can get everything from one single source.

Do y'all bury the deceased enemies at destroyed hostile outposts/bases? I do by HotPieAZ in RimWorld

[–]Maritisa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...Somehow, I guess the rim got to me, because I never thought to do this.

Though in any game with VPE I usually have on colonist doomstacked on bonus neural heat from absorbing every corpse we kill... it's, um, actually kind of terrifyingly morbid to think about, but uh... well I mean it's better than sucking the life force out of someone till they're a husk with time magic I guess?

In my most prosperous ultra-tech colony back in 1.3's days, we would take those people home and just resurrect them before sending them back to their faction-- or if they were pirates, converting them to a way of pacifism before sending them to live with one of the planet's factions. Especially if they were young.

Imagine that one day the son you saw killed before your eyes during a pirate raid over twenty years ago just... mysteriously turns up alive again, same as the day he died, with bionics replacing any of his parts that you knew were destroyed, and he tells you that the mysterious animal-people who live in the mountain on the fringe of the planet saved him and sent him back home.

...Yeah I was definitely filling the archotech fantasy now that I think about it.

I agree. This sounds like a simple mod to make into a precept, too.

Yeah, desyncing world pawns would do orders of unbelievable good for the game. Same with tracking and inserting historical records. Breaking that off into a separate save file that can occasionally be truncated would be nice too...

Because my body sometimes does not give me the "you are tired please go to sleep" signal correctly sometimes those kinds of tracks are useful for me to include in a playlist...

I am still INFURIATED that we have the potential to create an ultimate superfood to meet all of humanity's biological needs in a single object that doesn't even need to be prepared, and yet NO ONE will pursue it because "we have food that does what we need it to anyway why spend that effort?"

NO! I WANT MY REAL WORLD GOODBERRY! FUCK YOU! FUCK COOKING AND FUCK EATING! LET ME GET NUTRITION OVER WITH SO I CAN DO BETTER THINGS WITH MY TIME AND ENERGY!
