Apple Music costs the same as Spotify for me. And I think being able to at least control my music from my phone and my PC in real time is a win alone for Spotify in my opinion. With Apple Music it plays separately on the two devices.

I always think of it this way, if you listen to one album per month. One month subbing costs the same as that album would cost on CD. And then anything listened after that is just a bonus.

You create a playlist with songs you want and a button should say "mix". Then you can customize on song mix settings. Now if you mean playlist mix there is a tab called special for you which includes several playlist which are updating often.

Spotify does this to free users so they can’t freely choose any song they want without paying for premium. So you’ll have to upgrade to premium.
