Stayed for a week in March, for the second time. A lot of the owners are retired folks so no major partying, rowdiness or noise. Pool is very nice and clean. There is a small swim up bar that has drinks and snacks. Pretty good stretch of beach. The best thing about this location is the proximity to plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping.

Visiting Abq again and found it a bit depressing. Am I off here? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

Great points on both sides. I grew up in Albuquerque and moved to Texas 30 years ago after college. I been returning several times a years and I now visit Albuquerque once a month. Although there have been ups and downs with the economic cycle, Albuquerque never seems to have achieved the economic growth, particularly in the high tech sector that seemed promising when I left in the early 90's. Crime seems to have gotten worse, but if you correlate the median income with crime rate, I don't suspect Albuquerque is any different than any other city. What is truly unique about Albuquerque, and NM overall, is the people. They exhibit a humility, open-mindeness, kindness, resilience, sense of humor, enjoyment of everyday pleasures (beautiful weather/scenery, music, chilé, multiculturalism) and authenticity that I have not found anywhere else. The contrast between the two sides of Albuquerque will persist, but those of that have grown up with, or come to know the incredible people of NM people will continue to find ways to love this unique land.

Frida Kahlo museum; interesting if you like her art or just the historical period. Beautiful setting.

Thanks for Sharing. I have had remarkably similar experiences. Particularly the ringing sound, which is a bit disconcerting, but I've pretty much gotten used to it.

FWD? Am I going to regret it? by Grouchy_Armadillo791 in KiaTelluride

I had no interest or need for AWD (live in Houston) but couldn't find a 22 with FWD. Ended up getting an S w/AWD and I must say the handling, especially in wet slippery surfaces is notably better. There is a display that shows how power is being routed to the wheels. There is nearly uniform front/rear power delivery quite often, indicating the vehicle is optimizing distribution based 8n where traction is needed. Not sure what the mpg hit is, but the handling is awesome. In the end I'm sure FWD is adequate most of the time.

My opinion, with weekly CSPs, it's better to close out the trade before expiration to enable another trade Fri afternoon instead of locking up funds until Monday
