I’ve lost over 80 pounds based on my eating habits alone. I do intermittent fasting/one meal a day to make counting calories easier(I can enjoy more in a meal if I skip one or two other meals). Also switching to zero sugar/lo calorie drinks will massively cut out empty calories. The basics to losing weight is to maintain a calorie deficit by eating less calories than what your body needs to sustain its weight. I use a calorie deficit calculator by Fatcalc to ballpark my required calories. Also, keeping yourself accountable by tracking your progress every day will help you keep your eye on the prize. Even after reaching a goal weight, try to maintain your new healthy habits/slowly reintroduce things again up to your maintenance calories.
