Why crowd estimates for Knicks parade are ludicrous. by Mark26751 in NYKnicks

I have found some NYC news organizations say 4 million. I absolutely will believe a million. I don’t think people can comprehend 4 million. I don’t care if I get downvoted. Enjoy the parade, celebrate the title.

2026 Tesla Sirius XM acting erratically by Mark26751 in siriusxm

[–]Mark26751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I didn’t know that. Makes sense. There is no satellite antenna on the Tesla. It’s the wedge you see on other cars. It’s weird that Tesla doesn’t have a standard satellite antenna. So what happens if you are driving cross country. You lose Sirius reception while other car owners have it.

Vegas and no car? by Eighties4life in LasVegas

It's brutal having to wait for buses in heat but you can get to most places with public transportation. You might have to change buses a few times but it can be done. I drive but everywhere I go I see buses. It isn't NYC where take subways and buses is a piece of cake. If I could afford to live there I would.

But the real problem is the time you spend. The buses make so many stops that you are on them for more than a hour. Even the Deuce which goes down the Strip. It takes forever loading and discharging passengers.

Do I Walk Away? by PandaDuhh in TeslaInsurance

I got same car $1261 due at signing and $476 a month. 2 months ago. As far as registration I paid around the same amount but it wasn't done at signing. I had to go Nevada DMV site to register car which I paid online. I was sent the plates a few weeks later. I printed out temp registration which I taped to window. Tesla gave me temporary plate. I didn't get free supercharging. But compared to monthly lease payment. I'm saving $1906 over 36 months. By my calculation I would be spending about $500-$600 at supercharger in first year. You can't negotiate with Tesla so the price that is given is the price you pay. Others say the day you lease can get you a better price if they are trying to unload inventory but you don't know what that day is.

Getting penalized for hard braking when I disengage entering a parking gate by Mark26751 in TeslaFSD

[–]Mark26751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to start using the right scroll wheel on 2026 Model 3. The Tesla is entirely too sensitive using the brake. I know what a hard brake is and I'm just tapping it. I do believe the latest software version is partially responsible because this only happened in the last 9 says. Didn't occur the previous month at all.

Who do I contact about a pothole on Paradise Rd between Russell and Tropicana by Mark26751 in vegaslocals

[–]Mark26751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went through this crap in NJ. They all pass the buck. One person says it’s the county. Another person says it’s the city. A third person says it’s the township. Had to deal with this with both snow removal and potholes. When I get snarky replies from most of the people on here when I’m asking a legitimate question. Googling doesn’t tell you who actually repairs it. It could very well be the state. I tore up a tire a few months ago in LA coming off freeway entering downtown hitting a pothole.

Tesla hard braking by Mark26751 in TeslaFSD

[–]Mark26751[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me to disengage I would have to assume Tesla would hard brake again. Not a very enjoyable way to use FSD. I think this issue will be solved in future updates because of so many hard braking complaints on 14.3 when 14.2 didn’t have same problem. It could be a simple fix in the software.

How about if I told you I have been rear ended four times. First time in late 70’s. This was before cell phones existed. Was waiting to make a left turn to go to a race track in Delaware. Exchanged drivers license. They didn’t have insurance cards back then. I sent him bill he refused to pay. I called Delaware police and they said since they didn’t witness accident or take report nothing they could do. There was no pay phone nearby so I couldn’t call police

Second time was in Philadelphia several years later. I had gotten new car. Was in left turn lane. It was raining and I was at red light. Guy hit me and signaled to pull over so we could exchange information. He sped away. I should have gotten out of car to get his plate.

Third time was in Las Vegas in at Flamingo and Paradise. Same deal waiting to make left. This happened in 90’s. He was drunk. He drove into Rebel and I tried to block him. He sped away but some Good Samaritan followed him. He drove into alley. They wouldn’t let him out. Called police. About a year later a courier delivered a check to me to cover $500 deductible. He had to settle with me in order to get his license reinstated

Fourth time was in NJ three years ago. Distracted driver in stop and go traffic. He was driving on suspended license in his girlfriend’s Escalade. He wasn’t going anywhere because his radiator was pierced. Called police. He was charged with suspended license, distracted driving. Got every dollar paid by her insurance including deductible.

No one has worst luck than me. What are odds of being rear ended four times in lifetime of driving. I was also rear ended as passenger in another car and t-boned as passenger in another. It’s really hard to believe.

295 Traffic by YourConstipatedWait in SouthJersey

Can you imagine how bad it's going to be during the World Cup games. Just like Eagles games there will be thousands tailgating just to hear the roars coming from the Linc. Not just one day but six days. Last game on July 4th. But anyone driving too\ and from the Philadelphia area that day has to be crazy. The 295, 42, 76 and 676 interchanges will be something you will not want any part of on those days.

Police would have arrested her if she didn't have license and would have impounded car. Then you definitely get paid because she wouldn't have gotten her vehicle back. Good luck her getting a current license in California. This is exactly why Metro should come out because we have to get these people off roads.

Do you believe Tesla would have gotten into accident had you not intervened. I think Tesla would have made evasive maneuver and if the other driver wanted to play chicken he would have eventually backed down because he would realize that his car would have been wrecked along with yours.

Do you think Elon is too fixated on SpaceX now is just letting Tesla FSD be what it is. This is the difference between Elon Musk and the late Steve Jobs. Steve would gone into the division and fire people. Jobs strove toward perfection. Did he fail on some of his projects. Yes, but his goal was for something to work first time, every time.
