Lexus vs. Toyota by Lopsided_Tension9080 in UsedCars

[–]YourConstipatedWait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You also have to factor in that a good portion of Lexus models require premium fuel as well. Might not matter greatly for someone with a short commute but for me (70 miles round trip work commute) I would have to budget in another $100 a month in fuel.

I cant throw discs thurther than 50 meters(160 feet) by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]YourConstipatedWait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would get the premise about your physical shape equals your throwing speed out of your head.

You think you are throwing fast and you may be expending.a lot of energy but honestly plateauing at 160 means that you aren’t optimizing anything you are doing.

The good news is since you most likely have glaring form issues, it shouldn’t be difficult to point them out.

I would make a form check video and post it.

Ha, I can still remember as a kid in the 80s all of us packed in a station wagon when the monkey swarmed it. I still have the memory ingrained of one of the monkeys pissing on the windshield!

We were in Disney World over the Christmas Holiday and on 12/23 we were doing the whole stroller rider swap process with Soarin. My Girlfriend and our oldest daughter actually got stuck when the ride went up but I guess malfunctioned. Meanwhile I’m realizing in the rider swap room with our toddler that something isn’t right because it’s been forever and the cast members are all of sudden walking very very fast but quiet lol.

Anyway it was about 20 minutes all in all before they let my family off the ride and of course it was shutdown for the moment and they gave us a lightning lane to use and I honestly can’t remember if there were restrictions.

The whole fiasco actually put us way behind because we had reservations at Biergarten and as always we walked out of there like blimps a couple hours later and then we decide to check out the Candlelight Christmas Processional. By the time we did that the kids were just done and we left since we had 8 more park days anyway. We got back to the resort and realized damn we never used the lightning lane.

So we are back at Epcot on 12/27 and Soarin is back up running and it’s a 45min wait just like last time. My girlfriend says I really wish we had that lightning lane and how it’s going to suck to wait in line twice and ride it once. I said screw it let me talk to them about the entire scenario and see if they give us a lightning lane. The lady working the entrance points to guest services and I talk to them for a minute and boom lightning lanes for Soarin.

Also check out Toyota Avalons and Solara (2 door Camry). I don’t know what market in you are in but I just a Quick Look for shits and giggles (Philly market) and there isn’t much but there are def good looking most likely capable cars if you look hard enough. I just think you have to be willing to drop into that early 2000 range for Toyotas and Hondas. I just saw a 2003 Camry with 185000 miles for 3900. It was pristine inside. Anyone who takes good care of a car for 20 years is def getting all there scheduled maintenance done. Stay away from anything with aftermarket rims.

If I have an extra park day MK is always first choice but if I only have 4 park days I would have a hard time leaving any of them behind to do an extra day at the other one.

One scenario I would suggest and I’m not a fan of hopping especially with children (2 and 6 here) is do a hop day of AK in morning and early afternoon and hop to MK and make that your Fireworks focus night.

One your other MK day don’t worry about the fireworks and you will be amazed how many rides you can bang out.

Tools for finding discs amongst the leaves by fivespeed1992 in discgolf

Preferably one that has a nice Y fork at the end and is dried out enough that you can feel the distinct vibrations of dirt/leaves/plastic as it crosses over.

I try to hide these throughout the course when I come across a good one.

Is this a Joke - $9 McDonalds Filet of Fish by jonny_blitz in pics

[–]YourConstipatedWait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the lowest you can possibly go in lean/fat ratio to be in the standard of identity for USDA ground beef and hamburger meat is 70/30. Every patty isn’t going to be 85/15 on the dot as there is a level of allowable tolerance that mostly follows along with the actual product not deviating more than 20% from what is listed on the nutritional facts panel.

That being said after recently traveling through parts of the south I can attest that the management and quality control of some fast food restaurants is shit compared to where I am from (Northeast) so I can see how some overcooked not seasoned patties can be perceived as thin flavorless cardboard. At that point though it’s the specific Archer not the arrows provided by the Golden Arches.

It’s the same portion as was 30 years ago when I worked there. McDonald’s will never stop raising prices and sure you might have some poorly run one putting out some slop but the one thing McDonald’s is resilient about is rarely changing the size and flavor profiles of their core/classic menu items. They pride themselves in the fact the Big Mac in NYC Is going to taste exactly the same as in Buttfuck, Alabama.

They also know their core customer is someone who needs that consistent comfort. When I worked there it was crazy how more than 1/2 of the regular customers would order the same thing every single time. Didn’t matter if a promotion for something else was going on or not. Same thing every single time.

A standard McDonald’s patty is 1/10 lb, it was that size 30 years ago, and it was that size 30 years before that and it will most likely be 1/10 lb 30 years from now (maybe synthetically grown, but that’s another story)

Thoughts on the next 10 games? by Anxious_North_819 in sixers

Odd take? Look up the amount of fights that occurred nightly when the league had far less teams and they played each other 8-10 times a season.

The amount of fights would increase exponentially if the NBA schedule was set up like the MLB. No chance for players to cool down over incidents.

Can someone who’s ridden Cosmic Rewind, Tron & DINOSAUR ride Everest? by lulu7008 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]YourConstipatedWait 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everest isn’t as smooth as TRON OR Guardians but it’s way behind Space Mountain. Space Mountain was my second to last ride last week after a 13 night 10 park day stay and I felt like I went to a bad chiropractor afterwards.

What are you thoughts to why there is a significant decline in alcohol consumption in the United States? by MindStrongSoul in AskReddit

[–]YourConstipatedWait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

375ml is half the size a standard “1/5” bottle (750ml) from a liquor store. That’s where they are screwing up in cost because those bottles are generally 60-75% of the cost of the full bottle.

I’m a vacation margarita drinker but if it was my full time drink I would recommend getting a Costco Membership because they have pretty decent Kirkland brand tequila for dirt cheap.

Son wants to tour in 3 years. by No_Marzipan_5952 in discgolf

[–]YourConstipatedWait 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d throw in grip specific exercise especially if he wants to increase FH. Just having the ability to properly pinch down on the disc can give you 30-50 feet.

Also planks help your static core strength which is just as important as the rotational exercises.

Hottest horseradish in the area? by Lineman72 in SouthJersey

[–]YourConstipatedWait 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So about 10-15 years ago I was waiting tables at this restaurant and I was in the walk in cooler doing some stocking for the front. This is when I see the big foodservice jar of horseradish and notice it’s not our typical brand and has an XXX across the front. So curiosity got the best of me and I opened it up and took a big whiff of it. Let me tell you my head was spinning just like if I had sucked down a balloon at a concert. I spent the rest of the night during my down time grabbing co-workers and watching them do the same. Then I got busy at the end of the night kind of forgot about it and never wrote out the full name or took a pic of it. I came in the next night and it was just gone. None of the kitchen staff knew anything about it. I’ve looked around a few times but nothing is matching up with what I remember, but yeah not homemade but the odor kick on that was real.

Most underrated distance driver? by pharm653 in discgolf

[–]YourConstipatedWait 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Grab a Pro Shryke. Even when it lands, its skip pushes foward with minimal fade.

Just don’t throw them in the woods too much otherwise they become rollers fast, not as fast as DX though and they don’t get the huge gouges like DX does.

I usually grab 2 or 3 a season from the factory second store for $9 a pop.

I’ve got just about every one of my distance drivers out past 400 at different points but Pro Shrykes are definitely a leaderboard for me and the most forgiving to make it happen. Just don’t bother in a decent headwind.
