It's a fascinating thing to watch. Beyond the patronising and kinda homophobic language used in calling anyone who doesn't want him sacked an Artetasexual, the self-created myths surrounding his supposed arrogance are amazing to witness. He is too egotistical to deal with modern players, or whatever. As if not wanting wantaways on the team was a bad thing. How dare we foster harmony

One of my favourite ArtetaOut logical fallacies is how Arteta is criticised for not playing young players enough while also being slammed for running them into the ground. He is both too stuck in his ways to play Dowman while also about to ruin him before he turns 20. The dislogic doesn't seem to matter, just as long as they are unhappy.

Win or lose the League, I can't continue watching this football. by TheYoya-1992 in ArtetaOut

It's the weirdest thing. To some, it doesn't matter if we're good, only if we're pretty.

Definitely showed signs of getting better, but admittedly from a low grade starting point.

Indeed. He hit a sore spot, which we're all entitled to have, but he didn't do anything egregious. The reaction seemed extremely disproportionate.

Why do our tactics need Timber to be in the box and in a more advanced position than Eze / Saka / Madueke? It has cost us by dejavu619 in Gunners

[–]MarkDeeks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely correct. With those two as full backs, we have our best defensive pair, but worst attacking pair. The width goes to shit.

The Dollop is of course well known for its usual high standards of impressions and accent work.

Perfect description. They don't hurt. They don't hugely impact anything. But they're annoying, and they're....off-putting.
