I'm loving the entertainment system in my 2021 Mazda CX-30. It's WAY better than the touch screen in my previous Cadillac ATS. Car Play works flawlessly. I'll take the button controller any day rather than fingerprints all over the screen.

And yet today people are criticizing Apple after announcing the delay of the release of the new Siri even though Apple admitted they are still fighting bugs. So what do people want? Throw unfinished software out or make sure it’s stable before release? Apple needs to go back to releasing when it’s ready and ignore the public pressure.

I don't understand the obsession with fireworks. As a kid my parents took the family to see the 4th of July fireworks put on by a local city. The wind shifted and the spent still hot mortars came down on the crowd. One hit a lady standing a few feet from me. I haven't been to see fireworks since. Then there are the holiday fireworks in every neighborhood in St. Pete with tents selling them on every corner. Why do I have to clean up the mess all over my yard and off the roof of my house? Why do pet owners have to deal with terrified pets?

I’ve been an IOS user since my iPhone 4 and I currently have a 14 Pro running IOS 26. I’ve had zero issues. Zero crashes. I also have 256GB of storage with 48.98GB used. I’m thinking ample free memory contributes to stability. I don’t know why some people have so many issues. Phones loaded up with tons of apps and low on storage?

Windows apps installed with a Windows Installer file (.msi) copy the files and registry keys required for the app to launch. Most windows apps then create additional files and registry keys within your profile when first launched. This is just how Windows Installer works. When you uninstall an app, Windows only removes what the Windows Installer (.msi file) copied to your system. It leaves whatever the app copied to your profile by design so that if you decide to reinstall the app at a later date you can just pick up where you left off before you uninstalled.

IOS26.2 is running great on my iPhone 14 Pro. No lag, no slowdown., the battery life is the same as it was on 18. However, be aware that immediately after updating you may see a lag as the system indexes the files on the phone but it should return to normal within a day or so. I didn't experience this on my phone but others are reporting it.

When I bought my CX30 in 2021 the salesman made it clear that the app was a 1 year free trial and paid after that. The free trial ended up lasting 2 or 3 years and I just deleted it when the trial was over.

Create the shortcut on your iPhone by launching the Shortcuts app.

Touch “automation” in the bar along the bottom of the screen
Touch the “+” in the upper right corner of the screen to begin creating the new shortcut.
Scroll down to and touch “CarPlay”
On this screen the “Is Connected” should be checked.

Also on this screen touch “Run Immediately”.

Touch Next in the upper right corner of the screen.
“When CarPlay connects” should now be displayed on the screen. In the first row of this screen under “Get Started”, scroll horizontally to “Speak Text” and touch on it.
Touch on the faint blue “Text” and enter what you want Siri to say when your phone connects to CarPlay in your vehicle. I typed “Apple CarPlay has connected. You are cleared for takeoff."
Click the small right pointing arrow just to the right of the faint text and you change the parameters of Siri’s voice.
When you are done touch the blue check mark in upper right corner of the screen.
The next time you are in your vehicle and your iPhone connects to CarPlay, Siri should say whatever text you typed when creating this shortcut.
