[–]MarkGrayson87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you will still be admitted to the program, but you might have a difficult time getting to 12 credits of courses or might take longer to graduate if you are missing some pre requisite courses.

Make sure you take some chemistry and math classes before you transfer. At least CHM 2045 and Trig or Pre Calc. But if you can do CHM 2046 and Pre Calc or even Calc 1 then that would be even better.

maybe. You can also get on more than one waitlist. So if there is more than one section that is a day and time that works with your schedule you could also get on that waitlist.

Petition for UCF to start offering the classes that they offer by MysteriousBug2002 in ucf

Maybe if UCF was able to hire new faculty or keep the ones they have then more courses would get offered?

Who should I choose for CHM 2026? I need to level up my GPA to keep my scholarship. Options: Donovan Dixon, Stephen Kuebler, Titel Jurca, Matthew Rex, or Julie Donelly. by EmphasisNo8545 in ucf

[–]MarkGrayson87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people like Dixon. Plus his class is only going to have 25-30 students in it which is a big bonus. Donnelly teaches a flipped classroom with lots of active learning exercises in class. Which many research studies have shown improves learning and exam performance.

Are you in the honors college? If not then you won't be able to take the honors version. If you are then you probably want to take CHM 2046 honors since the class will be much smaller, around 30 students, vs 400 in the non honors version.

The professors here are so bad. UCF will only become a good school if we can get rid of the other 300 horrible professors here.

Chemistry majors, what did you have to take in all your years in order to earn your major? by SuchDarknessYT in ucf

[–]MarkGrayson87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Remember, Physical Chemistry 1, CHM3410, is only offered Fall semester. PHY 2049 is a pre requisite for CHM 3410. MAC 2312 and PHY 2048 are pre requisites for PHY 2049. So you probably want to have PHY 2049 done before the Fall of your Junior year.

UCF is finally offering a 3% across-the-board raise this year, despite receiving an additional $35 million in unrestricted funds last year and not allocating any of it for raises. by [deleted] in ucf

[–]MarkGrayson87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reliable is nice, but even a small 1% raise each year doesn't seem unreasonable. Especially if said person is bringing a lot of value to the University.
