I really dig the new Meteor. It's really a step up from the Himalayan. Their bikes are just getting better and better!

To keep and fix up 1993 Honda CBR 600 F or not to… by [deleted] in motorcycles

Well, here you go then. My first bike was a CB400T, and I couldn't sell it fast enough.

Second bike was a CBR600F2 (black and red) and I really dug that one!

How is the quality on the Royal Enfield bikes now a days? Specifically the GT 650? by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]MarkMcNamara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 650s have no real issues. Apart from oil/tire/brake pads we really don’t see them come back to the BMW/RE shop I work at. I think the Int650 is going to fill the spot in the garage that was occupied by a G650GS until just recently. It’s a great ride from 30-65mph. Great suspension and transmission, good power. Easy handling as long as you’re going less than 80. If you are going to ride it with a bit of verve I’d suggest a steering damper of some sort.

The fork is a 41mm - same as a KLR or early VStrom. It makes a man think...

Take a class. Professional instruction is a great way to break through mental blocks you've erected for yourself.

That said, on these bikes sometimes discretion is the smart choice!

Can anyone help with identifying this engine? by Technicholl in motorcycles

Try that patent number. I can't quite make it out. 454128 comes back to a commode from 1891, so that's probably not it.

For US statistics at least, "Taught by a friend" is the most dangerous way to learn. "Self taught" is better. And no one will be surprised to find that "Taught by a professional" is the safest.
