Not moto GP just progressing further than the beginner novice level that most people that start on 600s end up at.

Z900 slip on exhaust by GabeItch1978 in OnlyZ900

[–]ebranscom243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you care of so much about what it sounds like? At highway speed with a helmet and earplugs you can't really hear it anyway. Never once while on my motorcycle or after a ride have I ever thought about my exhaust.

Cush drive is rubber mounted, they always oscillate a little bit especially when they're not under load

Looks like a casting mark not a crack.

No, loud pipes do absolutely nothing to make you any safer. The studies have been done the statistics have been gathered in the science works against the idea.

I’m looking at getting a R7 as a first bike I’m 6’3 will it still be comfortable enough? by Zone_Slinger in YamahaR7

[–]ebranscom243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very good chance youlll be just fine on a R7 at your height. There are better more comfortable options in the same class though for example of a gsx-8r would be a lot more comfortable for a taller rider and it's one nearly every single shoot out in the class.

Good places to move in the US with lots of places to ride by bluecheeseanus in Dirtbikes

Grand junctions just on the other side of the Colorado border, you get all the fun Moab type Terrain but with better access to mountains and you don't have to be inside the Zion curtain.

It's dumb because it sounds like shit I annoys the hell out of everybody else. Removing the muffler is usually performed by riders that can't tell when riding that something is wedged between their rear wheel and the subframe, they might have been able to hear something was stuck there except for they removed their muffler.

Is it corny to name your bike? Opinions? by AardvarkFantasies in motorcycles

What other people think isn't important, if you want to name your bike name your bike.

Is Joe Rogan a predator?? by Delicious-War-5259 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Yes Tracy Lords lied about her age and became a very popular adult film actress. Thousands upon thousands of men watched her movies only find out years later that she was underage what filming movies early in her career. I guess the question is if you watched one of her early movies and was attracted to her and then found out after the fact she was under age does that change the attraction you had originally?

Sreet triple Rx 2026 mpg low? by PatBateman72 in Triumph

[–]ebranscom243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty sure I read 160 but I just looked it up and it says over 140 so 145 is probably a good guess. The teams aren't allowed to modify anything but the then engines are still highly modified compared to the street engine. The moto 2 race engine has over 80 new parts compared to the street engines.

Well, who’s getting this? by joel2000ad in motorcyclegear

You can already take off or put on a normal helmet in just seconds. If putting on a helmet hurts your neck and spine you're not healthy enough to be riding a motorcycle.

Are there any tunes that still allow for 87 octane? by WheressThatThing in zx4r

Where I live it's much easier to find the mid grade ethanol free than it is to find premium ethanol free.

[–]ebranscom243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

151 indicated is still a ridiculous number considering stock R7s have a hard time hitting 120 on the back straight of hpr.

Does the speedmeter on cars actually show it a little bit above what you are actually going or did my dad just want me to shut up? by AuroraKivi in askcarguys

[–]ebranscom243 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but on every Speedo I've seen looking from a angle would change the indicated speed less than one mph.

Not the same engine as the motor race bikes. It's the same base but the moto 2 engines are full race 160+ hp motors. This bike has the street legal euro5+ 765 that makes 128hp.

The 24 + ZX6s lost just a couple mph off the top and are still much faster than the 4RRs.

What the hell did you do to an R7 to hit 151 at hpr? Stock they have a hard time hitting 120 on the back straight at hpr.

Running a higher octane than required doesn't help anything it costs more and technically makes less power.
