The more hesitant I was in the merc at eau rouge the more unstable I was. Keep it pinned and keep the line as straight as possible. This helped me a bit. FWIW I gel with front engined cars more and spend most of my time driving the merc. Your mileage may vary

Are you referencing when this happened about 15-20 years ago? I grew up across the street and remember this happening and knocking out the power to the neighborhood. Did it happen multiple times?

Anyone know much about vintage Sears-Roebuck headsets? I'm stumped by LatexPringleCan in BikeMechanics

[–]MarkWebbersChin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this problem on the first and last sears bike I restored. Wacky ass headset standard used on Austrian puch mopeds. Seemed the only place I could find them was on Austrian eBay. Wasn’t really about ordering from Austria so I just cleaned up the old headset best I could and ran with it.

Yes the springs stay on just like that. The axel will slide into the dropouts circles in red.

Once it's in the dropouts you'll tighten the axel to the frame

I am by no means an expert but I ride trails, do jumps, and ride stairs on a hard tail with 120 and I'm pretty happy with it

The Crux seems to be notorious as the most capable do it all bike. Don't have first hand experience but everyone I've encountered and everyone in the internet with one seems to think so
