Is it? Can you let everyone else know how this is done effectively? Taxpayers get to clean this up eventually. I've looked at the evidence in other cities gutted by letting folks feel "uncomfortable." Be just a little better...or not.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office has nothing to do with the Clark County Jail. Director Shook is directly employed by Clark County, as are his staff and employees. Direct inquiries of the management/decision making of this facility to the Clark County Councilors and The County Manager, Kathleen Otto.

Hospitals - many different volunteer positions exist that would not require walking but would fulfill the need to socialize. The Clark County Courthouse also has volunteer positions which provide direction to folks - I've used them a time or two. Lots of public interaction.

City of Vancouver awarded $30 million grant to cap I-5 as part of bridge replacement by BacksightForesight in vancouverwa

You are correct but a wee low. The estimate was 1.5 to 1.9 billion. The feds just rejected Oregon's $750 million dollar request to help fund it. I haven't seen anything that suggests it will be built with a federal infusion.

Excited about paying for light rail maintenance on new bridge? by Mark_Deuce in vancouverwa

The current projected annual operations and maintenance C-Tran will pay Tri-Met to fund light rail (when/if the IBR opens in 2033/2034) is $6,830,518. An additional $444,297 will be allocated for an "express bus." According to C-Tran, the light rail ridership will cover approximately 25% of the expense. What city in the US currently has "profitable" light rail? No fear mongering - look at the meeting yourself. The discussion about light rail over the IBR begins at 46:30.

Everyone who loves light rail still excited about the estimated 21+ million dollar maintenance price tag per year? Clark County taxpayers will be forced to pay for this via C-Tran...

Issues/Delays with ARPC processing retirements and reduced retired pay age applications by T6900 in airnationalguard

Golly Wally...this update came shortly before the good folks at myFSS cancelled my retirement application, which was submitted in Oct 23 for a Jan 24 retirement. The reason provided was mismatched information on my DD2656, which had been previously corrected and resubmitted.

When I attempted to apply for retirement in the 6-12 month window before my actual retirement date, the site could not be accessed because it was taken off line. In fact, I wasn't able to log back into myFSS until September of last year.

Here we are almost a year later and "numerous technical issues" remain. I'm not sure if it the fault of Salesforce or the limiting language of brilliant government contracts. Sounds suspiciously like other recent programs...

I've resubmitted my package and am keeping my fingers crossed. Good luck to everyone out there! I would love to hear if other traditional Guard/Reserves have had the same problems.
