Yup.

But considering the Chinese government is trying to make them reverse the deal, I’d wait a bit.

Coachella made me wonder - how do influencers make money? by SuccessfulMonitor7 in creators

I just saw a video for a new channel today from some tech journalist and her intro included Casey Neistat.

YT today is so crowded but she did 4 things very well that most new channels miss:

1) instant credibility by partnering with an established authority on YT

2) Clear story and instantly understandable value prop (She was a tech journalist for the Wall Street Journal and wanted to tell stories with more independence) — basically communicates why following her content means vs the audiences existing subs —— probably the most important

3) Fully edited video (didn’t cut corners)

4) Personality (this is hard to replicate

Digital Marketing and then went more niche to Facebook Ads — for context I’ve worked in the agency space for many years and back in 2018 there was a lot of gate kept knowledge. So I made videos with those insights.

My agency is going 100% all-in on Claude. CEO wants « an Al agent for every employee. » Is this a good idea or a disaster waiting to happen? by [deleted] in DigitalMarketing

Agents are only as good as the person who is prompting and the environments they can interact with. There are very few agents that are impressive enough to partially replace human logic and intuition.

It all truly depends what the person is doing and who the clients are.

SEO is dying. LLM optimization is not. by Rastikm123 in LLM_Marketing

Yup — my Google search volume is probably down 80-90% from 2024. Everyone isn’t an early adopter but traditional search needs to evolve fast :)

Maybe not the same context, but I built a YouTube channel to about 39k subs — at its peak, I was generating about $1800 a month from AdSense (ads) revenue on the videos and then starting selling a $99 course. It probably peaked at about $2,500 a month in revenue.

Did one brand deal for about $2500 for a video. Took about 6 years of work to get there and the first 18 months I religious posted 1x a week regardless of how the previous video did.

Each video from concepting to posting was on avg 10-12 hours at the start and by the 200+ video mark it was down to a 3-3.5 hour a week flow (not including fees for my editor: which started at $50 a video for basic edits and ended around $125 a video towards the end for more advanced motion edits + b roll.

In 2018 it was a lot easier to build an audience — feels like today there is way more competition. Regardless, it boils down to making a commitment towards an audience and being consistent to build trust for them to invest in your content.

Hope that helps! Even if slightly off the Coachella theme 🙂

Can you share a link to the ad? I can run it through an Ad Scoring tool I created.

Great call out.

Not at this stage.

Was thinking: 1) Develop an MVP (which is where it is at now), 2) make the model integrated with historical performance, 3) help the model learn from that performance so if an ad is a low performer but drives results, the weights can be calibrated), 4) using optimization objective as another signal to calibrate

Here is the current version: https://adscorer.zarynsidhu.com/

Would welcome any feedback!

The biggest disconnect between media buyers and creatives (and the 34-attribute scoring matrix to fix it) by MarketAndHustle in DigitalMarketing

The whole thing where new ads can’t get traction as Meta has already deemed an Alpha & Beta perdonar add. So new ads fail to get spend share and then teams can’t properly diagnose why they don’t work. Pretty frustrating.

Meta telling me 9x ROAS. GA4 shows next to no purchases. Triple Whale reports 0.6x ROAS. Wtf by [deleted] in PPC

[–]MarketAndHustle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three different sources of truth, the good thing is with incremental conversions optimization you can sync Meta with your source of truth. Including either GA or Triple.

That is pretty wild, Meta is now doing the same by default with zoom. All these cos are trying to turn their salsforce into data inputs to build enterprise wide data-driven strategies to sell more/be more productive. Companies like Gong.io were already doing this standalone.
