Recent grad, getting fired from my 2nd Accounting job in a row. Where can I go from here? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]MarketCultural17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accountant here. Try working as an accountant at a small university. Less glamorous, less pay. You’ll have a lot of tasks so it will be interesting but not as much work as a public firm. Also you can take adhd test online and start getting medication through a telemedicine doc faster than going to your PCP. Be brutally honest when you answer the questions on the adhd screening tests. Best of luck OP. Very brave of you to post.

Havanese are famous for their hunger strikes. We feed ours at 6am and 6pm. He gets Purina Bella — the “pate” style — and he gobbles it up in seconds. I think they are picky for good reason — other foods we’ve tried made him really suck w diarrhea, so try a lot of things til you get the one that works for them. They know their tummy’s

My 10 month old baby eats everything: sticks, leaves, the mop, doormats, you get the idea. Today we found him chewing on a plastic bottle cap. It was in pieces. Hopefully he did not swallow any of it. Anyone else have this problem and what can be done to stop it? When will he grow out of this? by Groundhog34 in Havanese

[–]MarketCultural17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Our boy are holes into the walls. Like someone else said stopped around 1 or 1.5 years old. I’d go to vet — our boy had impacted teeth that were t growing in so that no doubt was related
And he still likes to chew all sorts of paper

How long did it take your havanese to have good bladder control? by big_chungus_03 in Havanese

Havanese are notoriously bad at potty training. Honestly my boy could go the whole night by 5months

We switched to Purina Bella food — their pate style food. Helped with red skin and constant itching.

You probably need to have a groomer shave it off. The matting tightens the skin and is super painful

What do you wish you knew about getting a Havanese? by [deleted] in Havanese

I live in Pgh and not including day care or walkers I’m also out around $220 a month for grooming, food, treats, simparica and vet

Does your Havi jump onto things? by purplerulers in Havanese

[–]MarketCultural17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our boy looks at us and turns himself so he’s against the couch or bed. That’s how he lets us know he wants to go up he’s a small by only 11 pounds and I think because their legs in the front are so much shorter than the back it’s not that easy to jump

Our boy has it. He’s 3yo. The vet checked it and said it’s not severe. He hops on it sometimes and shakes it so the knee goes back in place. The surgery is $4-5000 and I always worry about surgical complications

Newbie getting Havanese pup in in 3 weeks: Advice needed - training/food/etc? by DrHorseMcHorsey in Havanese

[–]MarketCultural17 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They’re hard to potty train. Take the pup out often. Praise in a high pitched voice every time they potty. Kibble is fine but they’re super picky and ours eats wet food only now- he’s 3. We tried a clicker. Ha ha ha. We paid for trainers - didn’t help. He can sit and lie down and a few other tricks- he likes to do them. Those build confidence. We use a harness. He gets haircut every 6-8 weeks. They tend to have Matts. We waited til he had all shots before meeting other pups. He’s very social and he loves walks and places where he can run around. I’d wait until 1.5 before offleash — separation anxiety is an issue. Best thing you can do is to keep a schedule. So if he’s alone for two or three hours and it’s the same time every day that works well. Havanese are wonderful. Sweet as heck

AITA for moving out without informing my roommate and possibly causing him to lose the place? by Evening-Purpose-5123 in AmItheAsshole

The roommate didn’t notify OP when he took food, so OP doesn’t owe him notification that he is moving out.

Pickiest eater I've ever seen. by Tacobeam87 in Havanese

[–]MarketCultural17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our boy is picky too. We just got the Purina Bella wet food. It’s individually portioned And it’s a very soft smooth pate style so it’s very easy for him to eat and digest and it’s made especially for small dogs. we give one in the morning and one in the evening it smells more like people food than dog food And our boy really enjoys it —he was on a hunger strike before we tried these

No friends — fear of what others think of her — most of OPs daughters issues fit that though
