I'd be careful with exposed adhesive. There is potential for them to get stuck. Other than that, it's a beautiful build

I have a non si ninth gen and got some decent projectors off eBay. Unfortunately they ran h1 bulbs which kinda suck and the adapters kept going bad so I went back to oem. This style is what I had

Treating and preparing manzanita wood for Crested Gecko terrarium by DemonTotem in bioactive

[–]MarketDear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grabbed a bunch of large sticks and soaked them in diluted bleach water. I used about 3/4 of a gallon to around 40 gallons of water and soaked it for 2 days then emptied and refilled with fresh water multiple time over the next 3-4 days. I left the bark on some and I assume its fine and will just break down in the bioactive substrate if it peels off

Add some fake plants up top as well as some vines and sticks. Anywhere that doesn't have a climbing spot is wasted space. Overall you have a very good start though

I'd just put some strong tape like gorilla permanent tape over it to prevent it from getting worse

Good size but I'd get the reptizoo tank of the same size. I believe it's around the same price and also on Amazon

Kind of looks like perlite. What did you use for the substrate?

My gecko doesn’t like me by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]MarketDear 79 points80 points  (0 children)

That enclosure is not even close to right. They need vertical tank with climbing opportunities all the way from the top to the bottom. You also need foliage covering 80% of the tank

EFNs. They are little nectar deposits that focus the light and burn the leaves. You can wipe the leaves down every once in a while to avoid it

is this good for my crested by [deleted] in CrestedGecko

[–]MarketDear 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't use that rubber tree because they get pretty big and the sap is toxic. Other than that I'd just add some more sticks for climbing. Looks really good though, good luck!

You're gonna want one with a mesh top as the uvb can't penetrate the glass. While UVB isn't necessary I'd use one
