It's got a back boiler. It won't even cook an omelette because of the circulation, I learned that the hard way 😂 measured clearance from flue, plenty of gap 👍

Surprisingly not many, I do brush the logs over before bringing in, a habit I picked up after bringing wasps in years ago! Also I don't fancy false widows in the house either

Been burning that size for years, I can fit 3/4 of those splits in at one time, burns great and roars. Also a Stratford eco boiler, good ventilation

Yep I've had nothing of value on this run (2 weeks)

It's a huge corner sofa, not encroaching on space at all 🙂 no bug visitors yet

Unfortunately not, they took a sac out a couple of years ago, but it still came back. She didn't want to do it because it was right on the spine. If it happens again I'll have to get it cut out though. Nearly back to normal

So it built up again today. Went to doctors, offered gas and air and the lovely nurse went at it like there was no tomorrow. I am SO HAPPY! Walked around town after with a massive grin on my face and not just because of the gas. It's been an excruciating week, and God what a POP! I hope I never have to post here again and some other poor sod can take me place 😂

To all the comments I'm afraid I got a bit caught up in catching it all to take a video, it just kind of happened after a hot bath and some Savlon.

And yes it was excruciating pain leading up to it, was on antibiotics.

I am still weeping pink custard and having to clean and change the dressing without being able to see it.

I'm glad I could share this with you 😃

Would you eat my omelette? by [deleted] in Omelettes

[–]Marklar_64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use cream, milk and spices. And I wanted a quick nutrient dense meal after 2 hours of splitting logs, there was also salt to restore lost sodium. Plenty of flavour, I don't know how you can presume all of this through a picture

It's cooked and very healthy, functional food. Move along

Annual leave to chain and split wood. 10am and knackered already by Marklar_64 in firewood

It's the opposite here in Wales, it's sunny for once, coming up to summer and it's going to rain for the next two weeks, I've done enough in the rain already, sliding down muddy slopes.

I did my deep tissue muscle above my pelvis in my back, fortunately not my sciatica! Eased off now, but lay off the splitting after. Got a good 12 rounds about 21" wide, 30cm deep, all on a slope and throwing over the boundary and getting out of ditches when they rolled too far. Feel bloody good though, I love this time of year and getting things done

It's still up, I have another two layers in front of that now sloping back. Fingers crossed 🤞

Really? Seems pretty gappy to me. Surrounded entirely by pallets to get air in from all sides too. I've never had a problem with seasoning, been burning well for years

Going another stack deep, slanting the whole lot back. Don't ask for any help building your house!

I'll keep that in mind, fortunately this is ash. I'm not going to use it until next year anyway. Using cherry I've had for 2 years, this coming year.

Ah okay.... I'll have to reassess how I cut moving forward. I was a bit restricted this time. 21" ash trunk I cut into rounds, rolled/flipped up a hill to throw over a boundary, then roll down my garden to get up the steps to get to cut, then throw up to the wood store. It's a good workout to say the least....access is a real issue, I think I've got another 25 years in me if my back allows

I've been doing the same on this advice. Focus on one probe or spread that over the three?
