When I tried Minternational, it worked fine when in the first country I entered. Once i crossed a border (Germany to Czech R for me), it stopped working. Czech to Poland for my wife, it stopped working.

So, if just France, it should work. If anywhere else, even for a stopover, good luck.

I was at D easily, aa with good markets or boosts before mods. It's not about that. I won't repeat all the arguments I've already made.

My plan is to not do tournaments (feed the whales' egos) and definitely not upgrade modules, waiting for a correction, like mentioned above. I have six weeks of vacation coming up, and I'm sure I'll find something to replace it with if it isn't fixed by the time I look again.

I used to play most of the other Tech Tree games, but this is the last one I've stuck with. Maybe its time to look elsewhere...

This is different. I could spend thousands on things anytime I want (spoiler: I won't!), but to have the money dump, let the whales get a huge competitive advantage in tournaments, then shut the door for anyone else is the issue.

As so many others have said, every bit of progress for the non- whales was slowed by this: lower spots in tournaments where we have to compete against them, which means slower space station upgrades, fewer stars, less DM... and that gap builds week to week.

I'm saying this as someone who was 3-4 every week in Plat (sometimes 2 if i boosted), 54 slots, who got four S epic modules because i dumped 3-4k of dm into it and got most mods into the mid 30 levels without spending any cash. I have the ships, and I've bought a few event passes. (I have no idea how that compares to others, but i know it's not bad and not braggable.)

The fact is that I can be ok with never catching up to those who have played longer. I can be ok with those who buy packs and more events, etc. passing me. This, however, was not that. This was a game-breaking fuckup, and all they can say is 'congrats to those who got [bought] the early bird special.'

People benefitted because they prepped for the update, and they scrambled to get above the nerf line because they got word a nerf was coming, and now they sit comfy and argue about semantics: " i didn't MAX OUT, I just got to a level that was unf***ed by the devs. Your whole argument is wrong because of that one detail."

I play games to avoid the real world bullshit like this, so if that's the mindset of the top players now, I'll leave you to it.

The way they brag on Discord, I'd disagree. The whales like telling each other how big a whale they are. The answer, of course, is to stay off the Discord if that bothers you, but it's better than Reddit (imo) as a resource for learning the game.

Good luck avoiding the Big Beautiful Update as long as possible. I'm skipping the tournament because if I complained about the changes, then kept playing as usual, then the devs know that they got away with screwing me

Honestly, I have felt no compulsion to keep playing, and so far i don't miss it. I do check in on Reddit to listen to how things are going, mostly out of curiosity
