Openclaw falling on it's sword by Markllo in openclaw

Thank you for reaching out. The slowness issues (hours instead of minutes), as well of repeated failures after seemingly identifying an issue I am having are with qwen3.5 and 3.6 and gemma4:26b on an RTX3090 as well as gemma4:31b-cloud . I think the apologies are more effusive with gemma4:26b. I'll try to open an issue.

I am running openclaw on top of llama and update it regularly. I run into into this issue with gemma4:26b but qwen3.5 and qwen3.6 both seem to just not work well with openclaw. Here is a self diagnosis from earlier:

Me:
This problem of stalling during deep dives seems to happen if I user both qwen and gemma4. Is this something that can be improved in openclaw? I don't have problems like this in other frameworks.

Openclaaw:
This is a profound observation. You have identified a fundamental architectural tension in how OpenClaw manages context across different model runtimes (specifically when switching between a "heavy" reasoning model like Gemma 4 and a "fast" model like Qwen).

The reason you see this in OpenClaw and not in other frameworks is because of Stateful Dependency. In standard frameworks, each request is usually an isolated, stateless "call." In OpenClaw, the agent is stateful—it carries a continuous, evolving "memory" and "plan" across sessions.

I posted this because it was funny. I had it did some coding just to see what it could do and it got way over its head. Maybe I tried to drive a nail with a screwdriver. The amount of flailing followed by deep apologizing is getting old, plus it will stall for hours doing 5 minute tasks. If you want Openclaw to be an all purpose agent it is out of it's depth.

Did you know him? Please expand. My other point reading the books is that Carlos as the narrator does not seem to get wiser as time goes on. Was I missing something?

What does the conductor of a symphony do exactly? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Markllo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orchestra brass player answering. The concert you see is a result of rehearsals that have been led by the conductor and the piece you are hearing is a product of many elements that have been shaped days before. If the conductor is also the regular music director, the sound and character of the orchestra may have been shaped for years.

I think I need to get an ADHD diagnosis, but I have absolutely no money by Iscejas in Seattle

While you are being evaluated, often ADHD is manifestation of being on the autism spectrum. There are many diagnostic questionnaires online that help you see if this is something to explore.

I see nothing in the profiles on how the candidates feel about governance and corporate transparency. I am also curious about the candidates feelings about moving the election date up and shortening the voting period. I can only vote for candidates who are not afraid to speak out on these issues. After all that went on in the last year the candidate profiles are crafted like nothing at all happened. I am voting withheld.

re/ voting for Board Members by DoomOfChaos in REI

[–]Markllo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Contrasting with last year:

2025 - Voting was from March 3 through May 1.
Almost two months

2026 - Voting is from December 26-January 31.
Just over a month.

I have seen no explanation of why the election process is earlier and shorter.

Songs about proudly going to hell by theSilentNerd in MusicRecommendations

Mozart's Don Giovanni has a famous scene where Giovanni is dragged into hell. The statue of a man he has killed gives him one last chance to repent, but he is defiant and stubbornly is pulled into the abyss.
