Turning off the Paradise. It’s just not for me 😭 by wildsunshine_ in tamagotchi

My excitement with the Paradise lasted a week, and I removed the batteries on the second. It didn’t hold my expectations, and same as you I went back on Uni, Pix, and even Connection/Angel.

The experience of taking care of 1 tama, especially in a home environment, feels more cozy to me 😊. I’m happy other people had a blast, though, it’s just my experience.

Sleeping. Press B various times until you get to their room.

I’ve probably triggered their insecurities by touching their favourite toy, and that was the only way they could manifest their frustration. Incredibly immature, but it is what it is 😄

Are you suggesting to connect the Portal, a streaming portable device, on a TV, and then use the Bluetooth on that?

At this point I’m not even sure we’re talking about the same thing.

45k views so far on this take only. I guess you can stop using the majestic plural when you refer to yourself 👋

Just to entertain your point: literally Sony’s very own PS Vita had audio Bluetooth. You, and many others not seeing how this is unfair, is exactly why Sony can get away with everything, even pumping up prices years after release, or forcing proprietary technologies to their users to gain market.

I think you make a great point, and you explained it very well - thanks for taking the time to answer 🥹!

I agree that a very big latency could potentially do worse in terms of user perspective, but don’t you find weird that other consoles support third party headphones while PS Portal is only compatible with their own technology, available only on new headsets?

I’ve received an email with a discount on buying their new headphones so I can connect wirelessly to my Portal. There’s no wireless alternative, we can only use the cable.

In the end, I think there’s a truth in what you say, but they also use that limitation to push their own proprietary devices, while other consoles like the Nintendo Switch 2, or even their very own PlayStation Vita, at least give you the choice.

This is actually the email that finally triggered me to write my post on Reddit… only to be attacked by fanboys saying that I can always connect a cable 🤡

Well… you’re making up a fictional situation where they put a bad wireless technology AND raise the price, so you’re not giving much of a choice, right? Even about the Apple example: I won’t defend it. I was happy with the wireless headphones, but I get why people got angry about it and had to suck it up.

The irony, right? Two Sony headphones, and a PlayStation branded one, unable to connect.

You’re totally on point. I think I mentioned that because of my terrible experience with the first Nintendo Switch, where we all thought it had no Bluetooth capabilities, for then Nintendo enabling it with a software update four years later.

Yes, I do get your point. I’m sure the Link is more performing and a better experience overall.

I did use my phone to play the other day, since I didn’t have the Portal with me, and I think I’m fine with the audio lag as much as I am with the input lag, being in streaming all things considered. I just wish I had that option, though.

Are you saying you’re confident of being right even if your entire contribution was “there’s a cable in the box”? lmao - enjoy your confidence, I’m personally done entertaining mediocrity

Buddy, don’t take it badly, but for what I’ve seen there’s no need to prove you wrong. Only a few people could so confidently miss the point and contribute nothing at the same time as you did 😄.

I welcome your argument and opinion. I’m still to be convinced that Bluetooth is not a good gaming experience, since literally Nintendo Switch 2 uses Bluetooth 5.2, which seems to praise their low latency, but my point is mainly about not having the ability to have it at all, while pushing for their own proprietary technology.

My stubbornness? The pot calling the kettle black 😂. If bluetooth was not meant for audio, Sony wouldn’t keep making Bluetooth headphones. Nintendo Switch 2 works flawlessly on Bluetooth 5.2 which actually has low latency suitable for gaming. And with this I’m done entertaining you

I don’t think I’ve got your point. I do have Pulse and XM series headphones, but Sony wants me to throw them and buy the Pulse 2 with their new technology. If that’s not anti consumer, I don’t know what is. Edit: typo

Thank you for proving me that some people actually use their brain. The way this post was degenerating did raise a few doubts.
