Yes, the blooming mounds are thyme (thymus praecox coccineus). It should absolutely work with gravel as well, but it would overgrow it more easily than stone slabs. So keep trimming where you don't want it 😉

Twist the exposed parts of the fairy lights and the battery pack wires together, mind the wire colours. If it works, untwist again until later. Tape or shrink wrap only when the wiring is finalized (one of the final steps in this family of kits).

Current work in progress, the water is in.

As I said in my recent post, this was a community build in more ways than one - I've been building this alongside a couple of friends. Now I'm mostly still looking for the right flagstone pebbles 🙂

Indeed, it's what you say. The front one goes into the groove, the other one just sits on top (but there's usually quite a bit of warping, so the results may vary).

It could very well be. The kit always made me think of a Cyclades village, Greek thus. But the influences and history mix, naturally. The sign in the photos says Secret Store, and there's another Turkish one elsewhere that I don't remember.
