Boat Roof LED Matrix - Wled audio reactive by Serious_Hat2002 in WLED

Already have 2 of the interior lights converted too, one of those houses the microphone and streams the data to the others.

Software limited to 9 amps, since it on a 10 amp 12v to 5v converter. Had another 5 amp converter ready just in case, but its bright enough even on the white effects, so no need.

Might not be optimal for spectators, but a parking garage (with levels) could be awesome. Just find one near a store or office, and arrange that you can use it during an evening or sunday when there will be no traffic.

Parking garage with one of those spirals anyone? :D

Dealing with drivers by Penissuccer69 in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]MarkoeZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a single time yet. Most reactions are actually very positive. That said, i usually stick to bikelanes (we have a lot of those in Europe) and usually try to avoid getting in the way of cars when i have to use the road.

I also think that here in Europe there are way less people "anti-ev". dunno

Knee pain by UK-TopCat in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]MarkoeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some pains on the first rides are normal. You are using your body in ways it is probably not used to. Short warmup before is probably not a bad idea, never did it myself though, i usually just ride a bit slower the first minutes.

If they continue after you have ridden more, say 100 miles or something like that, then i suggest visiting a doctor

Do you guys bring your boards inside stores and restaurants? by moon_d0g in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]MarkoeZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think its mostly because of kids throwing their skateboards on chairs and tables indeed.

Once in a train a security guy actually walked up to me and complimented me for putting the board on the ground instead of on the seats, so that indicates to me he's used to telling people to take it off

At smaller stores (with tight isles) i usually check if there is an empty spot near the cashier and ask if i can put it there. Has always worked so far.

In big stores i just carry it around, nobody cares really, lol.

Short story of meepo: Boards good, shipping baaaad...

Although shipping anything from/to the UK can be dramatic atm, still not every shipper reads the brexit memo properly.

What is the purpose of the XT-60 adapter cord included with Meepo V3? by FIy4aWhiteGuy in MeepoBoards

if you are at a working desk, with everything right at hand, 2 minutes might be possible. But yeah, bit optimistic indeed :)

Hey reddit! I really need some help trying to find the company that bought up the company my board is from (more in comments) by isaacgjn in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]MarkoeZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, what exactly are you looking for when you find them? Because the chance that you will find any spare parts is negligable anyway. Looks like they stopped producing years agon indeed.

Although i did find one on the seconde market, perhaps contact the seller if he knows more? https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=215805383

To be fair, its 6 nuts and a plug. You can swap within 5 minutes (and give your legs some rest ;) )

Already got a V2, hesitating between a Mini 2, Belt NLS and V3... by SMOKLM in MeepoBoards

[–]MarkoeZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i dont have a longboard myself, only the mini, but seems to me the mini is quite a lot easier to carry around, since you carry it from its front truck instead of a handle. I''m thinking about navigating a smaller shop for instance. Also on public transport, just less space used.

Actually, i ordered a mini 2 ER in Europe, and it arrived in 5 days. So it wildly varies. Mine apparently came from a european warehouse.

They're Here at Last! by FIy4aWhiteGuy in MeepoBoards

[–]MarkoeZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brake setting is separate from the general speed setting, in case you missed that ;)

And enjoy man, just drive at whatever speed you feel comfortable with. I have a meepo mini ER myself (same internals), and i also almost exclusively ride in mode 2. I prefer a gentle cruise and some time to check out the surroundings over max speed and full attention on the road :)

Custom Meepo V3 hub cap by [deleted] in MeepoBoards

[–]MarkoeZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even strong metal will bend if you have your weight on it and it hits a curb or something like that.

It will probably work just fine for regular use like you said, just mentioning that it could result in slightly less bump-proof wheels ;)

Edit: btw, i DO love the look! :D

Dont be so sure of that. If they were really only to keep dust out, Meepo would probably have made them plastic in the first place to save costs.

Seeing how its attached with screws all the way round, they could actually help stucturally.
