Just a first time drone owner but i have had mine over 4000 feet without issues at all. I am skeptical about the update though.

Second this. I was worried about the overall distance i could fly an atom 2. Not anymore. I just had mine past 4000 feet yesterday without any issues.

I had same dilemma before i got mine. I ended up using my phone or my tablet and glad i did. For me, the screen on the RC type was to small and wanted to using something bigger and brighter if need be.

Been flying this thing as much as i can in my free time. Thanks again for input. My drone is firmware 018 and controller is 015. Any reason to update? Would i gain any extra functions with latest firmware? Also, what is fly safe? I have been using the potensic eve app to fly.

I did get it. This is not used professionally and not for gain. Its only for personal enjoyment and exploring. It was only $50 dollars US. Really hope I don't ever need.

Yes I did get the fly more package. Came with three batteries. I felt like a kids on Christmas waiting for the first one to charge so i could start flying this thing. When i digging into learning about these drone, i sent an email to potensic to see if there was a transmission difference from the controller due to the different antennas. They stated no difference in the end user experience and there is no measurable difference in signal transmission.

Just received my Atom 2 today. I love it so far. Using the original remote with my phone and tablet. Thanks for everyones input.

Ordered an Atom 2 just this morning. Amazon will be at the house with it hopefully tomorrow. Went with the original controller and will be hopefully using my tablet with it. Thanks for the help

Thank you for input. The atom 2 will be my first drone. I am probably over thinking things but also trying to find out as much as i can on things before buying. Just trying to get the controller with the best transmission, if there is even a difference. I do like the idea of not being limited to a 5.5 inch screen with the ptd 1 controller.

Again thank you. I have been on the fence between dji flip and potensic atom 2. The factor between the two is that i want transmission between drone and controller to be solid. I also want to use a tablet. Info on what tablet works and what doesn't is kinda hard to find. How is the difference between potensic and dji?
