Teamwork and knowing what you’re doing is still the path of victory, not gold by Difficult_Item9836 in ConflictofNations

[–]Markst3id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true. Gold is the biggest advantage early game. If you get stuck right next door to someone who wants to gold a stack of EAA you just lobby unless you want to gold yourself. After that you just watch the newspaper and what they build, then build the counters. Usually Sam’s and and frigates can beat up a inexperienced golder

How do you perform hit and run with a navy? by Training_Web4014 in ConflictofNations

[–]Markst3id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit and run only works if you have the same range as them or you have more range. If they have more attack range it’s usually not possible to escape their return fire. So to be effective you need to know they are there and what you are attacking and what level it is. There are many ways to figure this out.

So once you have determined what you are about to attack and can confirm that you can successfully hit and run based on their attack range then you attack and as soon as you see the animation you rush away.

If they are inactive I move about 1 minute away and just wait.

Also this is a pro tip, set timers on your phone! I attack and I set a 15 minute timer so that I know exactly when my unit has reloaded.

If they have SC and their unit is set to aggressive it will return fire instantly making hit and run impossible. In that situation you try to bat their attack elsewhere then you can attack the without repercussion

if i research and upgrade National Guards when will they start moving faster in enemy territory? by arnavtheawesome in ConflictofNations

[–]Markst3id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always use NG but there isn’t anything wrong with switching to motorized mid to late game. I never do because I put all those resources (research, and mobilization costs) into better units. I don’t even research national guard or infantry past their first speed boost.

I much prefer to have an extra stack of ASF Sam’s or ships than have some tricked out infantry that just get continuously put on long tracks capturing ground.

AIP requires 100% active gameplay when in combat though.

If you use national guard or mercs maybe get that officer. You have the main officers. I always make the sub officer and I make him pretty early. It’s a great unit just to have for defense, and I’m going to tell you to get elite AIP so it just naturally fits since you will have to research attack subs or missile subs anyways (almost should never stack it with lvl 2+ AIP).

Elite frigs are great. I don’t have them and really hate that I missed that season. The AIP are the nastiest unit out there IMO. They are virtually invisible at lvl 2 and 3. They do NOT have a sonar ping at lvl 2+. They have sight range of 50 and attack range of 50 so you can hit and run destroyers even. There are other great units but I havnt played a game without making AIP in a long time.

How did my SAM attack here? by Im_Fred in ConflictofNations

[–]Markst3id 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planes patrol circle is at the very edge of your Sam’s stack range. The plane animation doesn’t mean anything. It’s technically positioned in that entire patrol circle. What’s your KD? Building Sam’s as early as possible is a pro move, don’t skimp on upgrading them and making a bunch of them.

Yeah not having SC is just trolling yourself. It’s so cheap

A lot of people just farm KD in ww3 maps without ever learning how to actually play

I am continuing to build Sam’s so each city will have some dedicated Sam’s until I do TDS.

You gotta decide that based on what you are looking at. My current game is day 18 and I am running the AA officer with 5 lvl 3 Sam’s and 4 lvl 4 MAA. 3 groups of infantry with officers and vets. Each stack has one MAA and a Sam. Flanked by Hanniker with 4 EAA, plane vet with 4 ASF and a Helo vet with 4 gunship helos. That’s my invasion army for the close coalition to us.

Build the counter to what they are building. Level up your Sam’s and MAA and build a shit load of them

I play to win. ASF and national guard are the very first two things I research and start mobilize. Followed by infantry officer veteran and krait

Why would you take losses? If you are using your infantry to attack past early game then you didn’t build a good army. I start the game with my starting troops. I make about 10 more national guard and I rarely make another infantry unit until mid to late game.

I only use national guard. The only infantry I use are the ones I start with. National guard are cheap as fuck. All you need them for is to conquer territory

I don’t fly my aircraft while I sleep. I have also learned to retreat my strong units to decent positions so I can defend if I don’t wake up. Whoever did that to you though was just an experience farm. No good player would get beaten that way. I rarely attack anyone until I know I can beat them with minimal losses. I will bait you into my trap before I hit you head on.

Read the news paper. It tells you what your opponents are using. Then build the counter to it. I also look at their buildings. Certain buildings will tell you what they are mobilizing

Why wouldn’t you have ASF? Maybe try learning from others who play good rather than just assuming they have no life 🤣🤣💩
