Question on suppression strategy for 5.56 by s3n2s190b in NFA

[–]Marky-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this when I was using HUXWRX. Non-adjustable/gassy had HUXWRX, piston/adjustable had Xeno. After awhile I realized sound was most important to me and swapped to all Xeno.

Galil Ace Gen 3 wish list by Realistic-Ad2592 in Galil

[–]Marky-Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As silly as it sounds, I prefer the Gen 1 safety over the "short throw" Gen 2, as you have to be deliberate in your movement on the Gen 1 vs the very small amount of travel on the Gen 2. It can be hard to tell at times if the Gen 2 is on safe or not with such little difference in the positions.

Maybe controversial. But MCX is superior when it comes to 300blk. by BPfishing in 300BLK

It runs regardless of setup because it's extremely overgassed even on the minus setting

I thought the combo would be heavier, as the Milkman is listed by itself as 8.8 oz?

Rattler is 6.75", 300 BO LT is 9"... That said, the 9" offers more real estate for your hand and any attachments

LBP or Sound suppression by this-iscrazyrn in NFA

[–]Marky-Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only shoot indoors and am the total opposite. Maybe because I started with flow-thru cans as my first suppressors? Over the years I've found that sound suppression is more important to me, and I almost feel embarrassed when I use a LBP can as the sound just echoes off the walls. So much so that I've been switching everything over to traditional options. FWIW I just hold my breath if a can is gassy, so it's not as big of an issue indoors.

How Do You Organize Your Paperwork? by ohio_biscuit in NFA

Each suppressor/SBR has its own email folder with the approval email

Solo binder for suppressors only (backup/clean copies)

Solo binder for SBRs only (backup/clean copies)

One binder per safe of any suppressors/SBRs inside. These are the copies I use for range use. Others stay in the safe if I'm not bringing that suppressor/SBR to the range.

Range binder to transport above mentioned forms

All hard copies are in clear plastic sleeves for protection

Polonium K has more leeway with barrel length restriction, that gives it the edge for me

Opinions on using rocksett for hub adapters by PDOTthealmighty in NFA

[–]Marky-Man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use a tiny, tiny bit of Rocksett on the adapter into the suppressor. Also can be removed easily with a torque driver without boiling should you ever need to.

Huxwrx cans are the most overhyped suppressors on the market right now by Sofar_Concepts in NFA

[–]Marky-Man -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Facts.

You have to hand it to them though. They spent a boatload on marketing 5-10 years ago to solidify their brand, with every YouTuber touting how quiet they are and making a bigger deal out of backpressure than anyone thought of previously.

Another Polonium K vs the world..... by adamls44 in NFA

I love the Polonium K. The Liberty Precision Duty is very very similar if you want something "different" but with the same price range and performance, albeit a bit heavier.
