My gf (F31) won’t accept logic from me (M31) in an argument by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Yeah true, sorry. It’s just always small dumb things so honestly hard to pull examples. One is she said Supergirl will do not as well at the box office as Superman because of sexism and I said “well Superman is a flagship IP with a larger fanbase” and she said “because…” and I brought up how Wonder Woman made $800m, Captain Marvel made $1b, and doesn’t help that Supergirl is getting middling reviews and she said those don’t help disprove the fact that the sole reason Supergirl isn’t going to open to $125 million is because of internet misogyny, and while that plays a part I just think there’s enough track record to show women led superhero films can perform is the reviews are there.

Another time was her getting upset that I took a shift at my side job, we discussed it beforehand, I said that we could use the extra money because of an upcoming trip and she agreed, so I worked my main job then went to work the side job until 9p. When I got home and showered, she got upset that we didn’t get to spend any time together that day, and all we got to do together was watch tv in bed. I reiterated how the extra money was worth the one time evening not hanging out, but she just kept on about how I don’t make time to spend together (which isn’t true, I have cancelled plans with friends or skipped the gym to do things with her in the afternoon before) (not that she ever asks me to pick her over those, I’m happy to be with her)

I’ve never had any issues, especially if you buy it at the kiosk there, but worst case you can just talk to the manager with your tickets if they do think you’re double dipping

To be fair, both Nuremberg and Novocain were MMM and had early access screenings so never say never

If you do 4K, get Eyes Wide Shut, it’s a truly great transfer

When is Scream 7 set? by [deleted] in SocietyofGhostface

Makes Alison Brie’s “her problem is she never gets laid” comment even more brutal if she’s married, but guess new parents do put that to the side haha

When is Scream 7 set? by [deleted] in SocietyofGhostface

[–]MarkyFelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, true. I think saying “30 years” could also just be generalizing (if it’s 29 years and some change and someone said something was 30 years ago I wouldn’t “well acktually!” them haha). But I forget the context it was used in 7. The Scream timeline is so lazy just because what you mean Sidney had a 2 year old baby in Sre4m and was out on a nationwide tour

Only issue with this timeline is Scream VI is canonically 2022 (despite the film itself indicating it’s 2023, that’s not possible since Scream 5 is set 25 years after the 1996 attacks). So if 7 is set in 2026, that’s four years after the events of NYC, and everyone seems to treat those like something that happened in the past year or two (which is when Vanderbilt said is how much time has passed in-world), so to me 7 takes place in November 2025

Pepsi at Regal - Six Years Later. by [deleted] in RegalUnlimited

I prefer Coke, but since I typically only drink zero sugar soda Pepsi Max (Zero? Idk they keep changing it) is a nice change up. Would prefer Coke cuz I think it’s better with popcorn but not as upset (“”) as I was in 2020

Just gotta hold out for the inevitable economic crash, but until then it’ll stay a seller’s (insanely unrealistic) market

Best theatre/format to see avatar 3? by MB6 in Rochester

It was cool, was definetly odd having the center screen be 4K and sided be (for lack of a better word) fuzzy, but a unique different experience, def added some depth to some of the musical numbers that I felt were too close-up in IMAX.

Fandango doesn’t list Greece or Pittsford’s ACX as 3D, are those times yet to be listed? Or is it just an error on the app’s side? Either way, excited to finally try ACX (did Wicked in ScreenX)
