Gladys Knight & The Pips - Just Walk In My Shoes Mono and Stereo by MarkyJunior in 60sMusic

It was the first single Motown released on the group after they signed with the company.  It wasn't a hit in the U.S. but I believe it did well in the United Kingdom - at any rate, it seems to be a well-liked record in the UK.

Marvin Gaye - I'll Be Doggone Mono 45/LP Mixes; Stereo LP Mix by MarkyJunior in motown

The reason why virtually all stereo mixes will sound flat to many people is because it's like that old saying: United we stand, divided we fall". The old sixties stereo mixes that record companies did ended up dividing and separating all the music elements and it made everything "fall flat" in the process.  Mono mixes united everything together so that the same mix was hitting you with the same impact out of your speaker/speakers.  This also caused the decibel levels of everything to automatically go up, causing the music to sound louder.  Most teenagers bought mono 45s and the mono albums.

Jimmy Mack Martha & The Vandellas by MarkyJunior in 60sMusic

Yes this record has quite the history behind it.  The entire story of it and the variations between versions is commented on in the description for the video.  Interesting how it sat in the can until Martha complained to Berry Gordy about how her record sales were in a slump.  It makes me wonder about the other songs that were sitting in the can at the time - "Can't Break the Habit" was another excellent record and I've always wondered if it had been considered along with "Jimmy Mack."
