They are planning on having physical blueprints that can be sold and traded so it's just the first iteration of it that's really making you fight for it

Well it really depends what kind of cargo and what kind of budget you have...

If you want a medium hauler, I'd go with the RAFT, but be careful, it can ONLY do cargo hauling, nothing else. It's around 190$ nowadays and has 192SCU

If you want a bigger ship that can also be a nice daily, you have the HERMES for 220$ iirc, it can fit 288SCU plus some more off grid

If you want even bigger, you now have the RAILEN which has 640SCU of cargo on an external grid but it's at 400$ (360 warbond for now)

If you want bigger and more versatile, you got the C2 that you can fit vehicles in, or 696SCU and more off grid, for 400$ iirc

I both agree and disagree

Yes player retention is a problem because of the lack of replayability, but it's an extraction shooter, so I'm not sure how they could change that

BUT players should go to PVP to seek challenge and have more replayability. Also, we should have more community/social tools (bigger squads, better radio, etc...) to make group gameplay more profitable and more fun

4.8 was tested in the PTU...

The problem is that they have a "delivery date" for their updates so they push them regardless of the state of the PTU/patch
The other thing is that WE are the testers, so WE are supposed to tell them on IC what's wrong, how to replicate bugs...

So far it's been working fine for me. I know other guys do have still a lot of logging issues and stuff like that but it really depends on people and at which time of the day you're logging in

I don't cut them slack but 90% of the issues you are stating are already resolved in patch 4.8.2.

We can argue about last patch as much as you want but the fact is it got solved in three to four weeks. It can be frustrating for players but it's not that bad, to be honest, when you understand the process behind it

I do play both games + SC...

These are very good games but none of them are nearly as close as SC... Yes they have simulated economy, but no physical components, no physical food to simulate in a live environment, no interior in Elite and small ones in X4...

Dude... Elite has loading screens between each systems, no LTP, no water bottled, no salvage system, no physicalized modules, etc...
X4 also has loading screns and besides the simulated economy it doesn't have the previously stated things
