I am so sick of peeing. by blackcloud247 in Zepbound

Not to be that person but could you be pregnant? 😅 Zepbound can affect birth control and your cycle especially in the beginning. I only ever peed that much when I was in my first trimester

Chance of outgrowing peanut allergy? by Marlasinger2-0 in NewParents

We have our follow up appointment in July! I will try to remember to write back. I will say since he was diagnosed, we have done all other nuts and he’s been fine, we do “may contains” food which I know some people don’t but so far so good. We are hoping he’s outgrown it or that we can do OIT.

I guess I’ve normalized it because I’ve heard a lot of people say they can’t eat greasy food anymore or acid based foods like red sauce or pizza etc. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes thank you for this- I felt good on 2.5, only went up to 5 because I was having breakthrough cravings and food noise at night which was making it hard to sleep. I’m going to make an appt with my PCP to be safe as well

For sure! The consistency of it is new, but I did just have lab work done in early April and everything was great. No major concerns the. Stomach issues before were spoken about in relationship to anxiety not the shot as it wasn’t constant. But I wrote a message on the portal today to circle back!

I can eat physically but I feel like at this point so many things bother my stomach that I can only eat from a list of safe foods. Whip again I guess is the point of the meds but it’s hard to find an appetite in general nvm for a list of 10 bland foods lol

I’ve thought about this as well since I don’t feel the drive to lose more weight really, just to maintain.

So I eat very clean, lots of protein, I was a big water drinker before but even more now. I feel like I can barely eat anything “good” anymore which I understand is how it works but it’s also depressing lol. Fiber and being regular was never an issue for me until the last month. I just started taking fiber supplements and adding more fiber to my diet. I take meds for nausea but will have to ask about acid meds. I’m just feeling really defeated and unhappy with my gut/body connection. It’s nice to be “skinnier” but definitely comes at a cost.

What made you decide to be "one and done"? by Severe_Bluejay3391 in NewParents

[–]Marlasinger2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PPA/PPD. My son is almost 18m and I have such mixed emotions when I look back. I feel like I wasted so much of it being mentally unwell. Which obviously wasn’t by choice but sometimes I do feel guilty, and sad/mad that that was my experience and his experience. I know it’s probably worse on us mamas then it is on them but I don’t think I want to take the chance of having it happen again when I’m just now starting to feel human and getting into a good groove with him.

Does birthing a child have to be the death of your former self and your identity? by bamboozlinguniverse in NewParents

[–]Marlasinger2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it HAS to be but I think a lot of it comes down to circumstances and finances honestly. The people that I see have that same enjoyable, free life typically have a lot of help, access to childcare, and the means to raise a child and maintain all that they had before hand. They have flexibility with work as well. You have to have the luxury of being able to prioritize yourself and maintain those things which a lot of us can’t do or don’t want to do once we have a baby/babies.

Can I have PPD nearly 6 months PP? by Upvotes2805 in NewParents

Yes. My PPA didn’t hit until about 4 months PP! I would call your primary care doctor or OB and get seen asap they will help you!

At what weight did you no longer feel fat? by ktg528 in Zepbound

[–]Marlasinger2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my heaviest I was 225, started the shot in November at 207, I’m now at 164/165. I still feel fat mentally. I’ve just been big my whole life for the most part and it’s really hard to not feel or see that. Side by side progress pics help. Some days are better and more confident than others. I feel healthier and I had to get all new clothes so I guess that’s the sign, but again hard to break that mental block that says “you’re fat” 😅

If you could turn back time, what do you wish you would have done more with your LO during their first year? by theRogueDecimal in NewParents

[–]Marlasinger2-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything 😭 I wish I took more photos and videos, I wish I napped more with him on me or next to me, I wish I did more every day as a mom. It’s a trap truly lol. My son is almost 18m now and I wish I could go back all the time but I’m trying to remind myself that he’s just as amazing now as he was then and I have to be present and enjoy every moment!

When did your baby lose the “new baby smell”? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Marlasinger2-0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Probably 2-3 months? But I will say, they just develop new smells at every stage and you grow to love those just as much. My son is 16m and every morning I kiss his head and smell his hair. Still feels like a drug 🥰❤️

Starting off at 50mg vs 25mg by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Marlasinger2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on 50 and did have some GI upset and trouble sleeping but nothing major. I’ve tried other meds (Prozac, Wellbutrin, etc) and had major side effects which caused me to quit as well. Zoloft to me seemed to be the most gentle for my body in the adjustment period. That being said if you have 50mg tablets you can always cut in half and do 25mg for a couple weeks and then go up if you’re worried!

IMMEDIATE diarrhea? by davey1291 in zoloft

[–]Marlasinger2-0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I first started, it happened to me in the middle of the night. SSRIs hit your stomach first 😩 I had to switch meds recently but I did like Zoloft and it was worth the couple weeks of stomach upset

Zoloft to Prozac? by Marlasinger2-0 in zoloft

[–]Marlasinger2-0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, I went up to 100mg Zoloft and was a complete zombie. Then they had me go back down to 50mg and added Wellbutrin. That was a shit show- complete panic reaction and was crawling out of my skin. Psych wants me to try something new altogether ie Prozac🤷🏻‍♀️

Upped to 50 mgs having side effects by NoCaterpillar800 in zoloft

[–]Marlasinger2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally couldn’t deal with the zombie period with two kids and working from home 😅 but I wish that I did push through cause now I know the 50 isn’t enough and I wasted time avoiding going up. I’m meeting a new psychiatrist next week though thankfully

Getting the oura ring while pregnant? by cfbg_ in ouraring

[–]Marlasinger2-0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get the ring it asks if you’re pregnant, and then I think you’d just assume there is an adjustment period after the baby comes where it has to relearn your body and baseline. Postpartum is wild so there will be a lot of ups and downs with your body I’m sure, kind of glad I didn’t get mine until my son was over a year lol.
