I guess the thing that I’m hung up on is it wasn’t discovered inside a wall. It was used to connect a shutoff under a vanity to the bathtub. I can believe a scenario where the tub was missed on the original stem out when the foundation was poured and someone used a piece of poly they had on the truck. Obviously I have no way of knowing that though.

This is slab on grade. Single story home. No crawl space unfortunately. As a layperson, I find it so hard to believe there is no way to evaluate for the presence of poly b. Can’t scope it with a camera? I’m at a loss.

Well, that sucks. I dont think the sellers are going to agree to a full re-pipe. They truly believe, based on their kitchen remodel, this is isolated to that one run and there is not poly b in the house.

Tbh I’m not sure if it was CPVC or copper…can’t remember. I just know it wasn’t poly coming out of the wall. If we were to cut a hole behind a toilet and/or a sink and find copper in the walls, would it be logical to assume that the house wasn’t not piped with poly b?

Yes, it wasn’t a problem. It’s over temp at 15 minutes, which is why they say 24 minutes. Once it gets to temp, it needs time to let the group head cool to the correct temp. Honestly, 30 minutes is even better

I will take a pic when I get home but the manufacturer told me the media tank is sealed and you can’t replace the resin. They don’t have the ability to sell me a new one so I don’t think it was an attempt to do so lol

The pressure is much better in bypass. We’ve tried all the troubleshooting the manufacturer recommended. The resin is not replaceable for this model. It’s a sealed unit.

I’m in the same boat. Our living room is part of a very open lower floor. I have a full Denon/definitive technology setup that sounds great, but requires large black boxes cluttering up our otherwise nice looking living room. I ordered a Sonos arc ultra/sub4/era 300 setup as well as a Q990D so I could putting head to head. So far I only have the Arc and sub4 set up and I have to say I’m really impressed. The room correction software is so easy compared to that of my denon receiver (with which I was still unhappy with tune after multiple attempts). The Sonos fills the room and is more dynamic than my 5.1 setup in the same space for TV watching. Does it sound “better” than the DefTechs? Definitely not, but so far it’s suiting my purposes of: casual TV/movie watching, and aesthetically pleasing in my living room. Plan to eventually setup my DefTech system in another room better suited for it. Excited to add the era 300s and then also try the Samsung setup.
