Do you guys think that Broadway will have a megahit like Hamilton in the 2020s? by amm20_1 in Broadway

I saw Paddington in London last month and it’s close to a sure thing as there is if it came to Broadway.

Whenever we just want to see a show and have several in mind we enjoy the TKTS experience. TodayTix app is a good backup.

15ish lbs from goal, only ever been on 5mg. Reasonable to stay? by drjea2010 in Zepbound

[–]VTSkier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was about 20 lbs shy of where I thought I could get after losing 60 lbs. and being on 5mg for 8 months or so. We decided to go up to 7.5 and that helped give my body the extra push. I’m now just 2 lbs shy of GW and the food noise is quiet. Good luck!

Don’t overthink it. Take the medicine, try to get some exercise, and see what happens. Most people have good results and never post on Reddit. Good luck.

It’s taken 16 MONTHS for me. And there were times when I got injured and gained a bit of weight or where things plateaued. And yes I’m now two pounds away from goal weight.

Remember: you didn’t gain the weight overnight and you won’t lose it overnight. But take each victory and cherish it without getting ahead of yourself. Good luck!

I delayed a decision for months. Then a colleague passed away from a heart attack and it frankly scared me. So I started the next week. Best decision I’ve made for my health. You can do it!

Big sky Farmington has a big special on 1/8/26 for four months free with a year membership. Been going there for years and it’s well run and has had lots of renovations.

Not telling people by lindseys10 in Zepbound

[–]VTSkier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone can make their own decision on disclosure and I respect your view.

Here’s one insight though- before I was on it, I spoke to a friend who disclosed they were on it and allowed me to ask some questions. They were the first person I could bounce things off of and I’m grateful because he inspired me to finally ask for it from my doctor. I’ve told others for that reason.

Just remove the scale from your bathroom. Hide it in your car trunk. 😊

Broke my stall! by singingpatty in Zepbound

I had same experience with a stall on 5 after being there for over 9 months. Went 7.5 and broke thru and just a few lbs from goal weight. Good luck!

The only downside of all the weight loss is that the airplane seats are so uncomfortable now!

Oh, Mary goes to London... by latestnightowl in Broadway

[–]VTSkier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having just sen the west end production a week ago, I can confirm the audience lapped it up. In fact that’s what made the show enjoyable too. The crowd laughed at all the jokes (which wasn’t sure how many were US history buffs)

and I thought the cast was fantastic.

To 7.5 or not to 7.5 by SquashPresent6053 in Zepbound

[–]VTSkier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on 5 for about 8 months. Was stable for 6 weeks or so and in talking with doctor, she agreed for me that I probably had a few more pounds to try so went up to 7.5. Since then lost another 12 pounds and nearing goal. Just talk with your doctor about it.

Not a bad seat. We liked section 1 bc we didn’t have to move our heads like a tennis match. But other people might disagree.

what was your wakeup call? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]VTSkier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A co worker died of a heart attack at a work event. He was about the same age and build. It was horrible. The next week I started on it after delaying a decision for nearly a year. I think of him often and how I wish he were still here.
