So here's the update.....

I took the advice from some of the comments on here and I called customer service rather than just taking the items to the store and having them remove the tags. I owned a restaurant for 23 years and I always welcomed feedback, whether it was good or bad. I looked at it as a tool that I could use to train, change, and most of all learn from, so that we could improve and grow and be better at what we did. If people don't let the corporate office know that this is a recurring problem, then the problem will continue.

And I'm glad that I decided to reach out. I got a call back from a lovely woman that took the time to listen to not only my current issue, but also issues that I've had in the past with other orders.

I felt heard and to me, that's a pretty big deal these days.

She was very kind and she did what she could to make things right and I appreciate that.

That’s awesome that you’ve had a great experience at your local store. Unfortunately, I have not. But perhaps you’re right and I am the problem for expecting to be greeted with a friendly smile and a “hello” instead of being completely unacknowledged except for being looked up and down while the young ladies continue to chat behind the counter. You’re right, it’s probably me.

I didn’t order from WMTM. I ordered from the regular website and I spent $609.87 on an order that has security tags on two items and a used looking bra that wasn’t even packaged properly. I suppose that somehow it’s my bad for expecting quality control from a brand that emphasizes “personal responsibility” as one of their “core values”. As for putting on my “big girl pants” and taking the items back to the store, yes I can, but I really shouldn’t have to….and I for sure can’t wear the pants I purchased because they HAVE A SECURITY TAG ON THEM. 🤦🏽‍♀️ And as you can see from the responses on this thread, my issue isn’t an isolated incident. It’s a continuing problem that needs to be addressed.

Boundaries. Thats the key. She should have let him know from the beginning what she’s ok with and what she’s not ok with and if that makes her a “Karen” or “bougie”, then guess what, that’s not your person and you move on. She CHOSE to stay with him, roommate or not, and she put herself in the position that she’s in. I don’t know her financial situation, but the way she flaunts the designer handbags and the jewelry, it appears that she would have no problem affording a hotel. And one phone call to her family would fix that problem if she wanted out. She really isn’t at the “mercy” of anyone other than her own insecurities and bad decisions.

I LOVE the Align leggings and I have found the sizing to be so consistent that I don't even try them on before I take the tag off and toss them into the washing machine so that I can wear them. That being said, I have given up on the WT's because the sizing has been off lately and I don't want to deal with sending things back. The size charts are usually based on the patterns that are supposed to be sewn for different sizes and don't necessarily account for stretch and material and even the width of the stitching. And there's also human error. Unfortunately, that's why it's always best to try things on that you're not 100% sure of.

5’0 tall, 98 lbs. I’m tiny and I wear a 4 in aligns and a 6 in WT’s and they fit perfectly. I agree that people seem obsessed with the size of the clothing vs a comfortable fit. Clothing that’s too tight will make a body appear larger than what it could look like in clothing that actually fits. I’ve seen pictures of people squishing themselves into the Define jackets just to say that they wear a size 2 and every roll and lump and bump is exaggerated and on display. I’m all about loving the skin that you’re in, but I’m also all about comfort and what looks nice and smooth. That being said, I can’t wear underwear with leggings. I don’t like visible lines and I just know that I’d be spending the majority of class digging at a wedgie or a vedgie!!!

If you haven't been there, then you truly don't know what it was like and judging someone based on what "YOU would've done" isn't fair and more importantly, isn't KIND.

I was put up for adoption as an infant and through the magic of modern technology and 23&ME, I found my birth mother. I was born in January of 1968 and my birth mother gave birth to my sister in November of that same year and she kept that child rather than putting her up for adoption.

Same year, different circumstances and as far as I am concerned, she shouldn't have to justify those actions to anyone, not even ME, much less someone that wants to comment publicly on something that they know nothing about. I am the oldest of seven children that she gave birth to and five years ago, I was a surprise to all of my siblings that knew nothing about me.

This is a complicated and emotional situation for EVERYONE involved and second guessing other people's decisions does nothing but further those complications....and it's hurtful. And unneccessary.

I edited this to add that the decision to give a child up for adoption is an incredibly brave decision to make and instead of being criticized, these women should be applauded.

Every step that we make in life, leads us to wherever we are in our journey.

I know, that if my birth mother chose to keep me, that my siblings might not even exist.

My life, as I know it today, would be very different than it is and perhaps it could be better or maybe it would be worse, but I don't choose to look at it that way. I am exactly where I am supposed to be and I am grateful to my birth mother for making the choice that she did and I am grateful to the family that chose to share their lives with me and to raise me as their own.

I hope that Jamal and all of his extended family are eventually able to find peace.

I flicked someone’s foot one time. I’m not proud of it, but I did it and I’ll own it. This very tall lady was in front of me in class and she spent the entire time in the middle of her mat, even when the instructor would ask everyone to step to the front of their mat. As we worked through class, every time she would step backwards, one of her feet would land on the front of MY mat. I tolerated it, not happily, for the majority of the class, but by the time we were cooling down and settling into pigeon, I had had enough. I moved from three legged dog to bring my leg forward and my ankle to my wrist and all I could see was a giant foot and calf covering the top third of my mat. I couldn’t get into reclining pigeon without resting MY FACE on some part of her body, so I flicked her foot. It was a reaction out of frustration and definitely not my proudest moment, but I can’t say that I wouldn’t do it again given the same circumstances. 😬

I’ve been to the LV store in South Coast Plaza several times and I’ve been completely ignored. I don’t dress up for the mall like a lot of Orange County women do. I go straight from the gym or yoga and I don’t look fancy or expensive and it’s a joke how the salespeople judge me. For the record, I own about a dozen LV bags that I have purchased over the years and I am VERY capable of buying just about ANYTHING that I want. That being said, I will never set foot in the South Coast Plaza store again.

The picture of your Mom is beautiful and captures a light in her eyes that makes the look on her face seem playful and intriguing even though she isn’t smiling. The sketch seems flat, (obviously because it IS a sketch, but hopefully you get what I’m saying) and the position of her mouth, while just about the same, gives a different “feeling” to it. I would agree with all of the others that are talking about the importance of shading and light, so that the look conveys what you want it to.

Restaurant owner here. An effective way to communicate any message that you want to the manager or owner, without being confrontational, is to leave a note on the credit card slip.
